I know. Right? One Hogwarts subject with a strong real life parallel is the history of magic. That is considered the most boring class. I think real world history is interesting. However a lot of students get bored with it. So I understand why magic history is so unpopular. History can be boring if one just memorizes meaningless names and events. Yet it can be interested if one enges with the stories and applies them to modern life. There can be lessons on what to do in various situations based on what happened in the past. I think this Hogwarts class would be so much cooler if it was called lore class. Lore is awesome. It is the history in fantasy and sci-fi. I enjoy learning about the lore of fantasy works. Dungeons and Dragons, Magic the Gathering, and World of Warcraft all have fascinating lore. I can imagine that happening to Harry Potter The Fantastic Beasts movies are lore. Lore is very polarizing. The hard core fans love it. The casuals hate it. The hatred is due to boredom. I guess that is like boredom if real world history. Personally I am on side of loving lore.
I am loving the colabs!! Please continue to make these! Hearing my 2 favorite HP TH-camrs narrate videos is like getting early Christmas gifts. Thank you for your hard work and dedication. So happy you 2 are such good friends and work so well together. 🤩🤩
Harry potter folklore and Movie flame doing a collab omg!!! Both of you have made my quarantine so much better. Edit: Lovely video as usual. Also, I love this friendship.
One thing I will say is that for future collabs you don’t have to say “now I will hand it back to xxxx” it just seems less organic. Great video other than that
Yeah, I also thought this on their other video the Horcrux one. It did break the flow, it kind of sounds like Live sports commentators “Now back to you” But when it’s scripted for a video, it’s not needed. We know who’s voice is who’s, they can just continue without an intro to who’s saying the next point
It could've been that but I think it was because Ron's wand was broken because the professor moody (barty crouch junior) successfully transformed draco into a ferret so I think it was because Ron broke his wand
@@instantentertainment2800 that makes sense, cause Hagrid's wand is broken as well and in philospher's stone he tried to turn Dudley into a pig, but the spell only gave him a tail.
@ although he wouldn't of been orphaned at such an early age an harry wouldn't of got his scar he would of not been known as the boy who lived baldemort wouldn't of lost his powers and would of been so much more powerful and would probably have overpowered the ministry and would rule the wizard and maybe the wizards moved to other countries because they constantly lived in fear
@@bellatrixlestrange1895 The thing is, the prophecy probably would have still become true, so eventually Voldemort might have marked either Harry or Neville as his equal, they would have probably died, but lets say they didn't, voldemort probably would have still won because by that point he would have been in control of the ministry.
I think the most interesting subjects would be ancient studies (rediscorvering some lost form of "white" magic would be so cool) and magical music vs. muggle music.
Your friendship really does shine through. You guys are so polite to each other over and above what many other collabs on TH-cam are like and it's so endearing to listen to. As a fan of both your channels I hope you guys continue to do collabs because they are a joy to experience. Keep up the great work!

Hey Serious Question So, Harry Potter Theory has done a video where he tells us about 21 subjects, so what is more accurate plus the list also differs slightly By the way excellent collaboration, seen the one on MovieFlame as well. As I fan of both really waited for something like this
Well considering that one of the classes added to this list was Dark Arts (not Defence Against the...) & HPT didn't include Broom Flying, i'd say both are accurate. Personally, I prefer HPT's video. The collaboration is great but my ADHD is annoyed by the constant "Okay guys, i'm gonna hand it off to..." & side comments like "I can't believe we're down to the final", like just get on with it! We know it's a collab, just continue back & forth.
Here’s a suggestion for a video, ‘What elements of muggle culture were appropriated and taken into the magical world?’. It would be a good video as it could show things we’re used to being present in the magical world. For example, do they watch muggle tv and films, do they listen to muggle music and are they aware of muggle history? Also in what way do they act within muggle society, for example if they live in the muggle world instead of the magical world, do they interfere in muggle affairs? This would be a good video or a couple of suggestions at least. Mind you, you don’t need my help as you’re doing brilliant anyway. Hope you continue with the great work and all the best.
Mind you that the wizarding world is stuck In the 1800s because of the stature of secrecy and fanatic pure bloods didn’t want anything to do with muggle technology.

All first-years at Hogwarts must take seven subjects: Transfiguration, Charms, Potions, History of Magic, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Astronomy and Herbology. Flying lessons (on broomsticks) are also compulsory. At the end of their second year at Hogwarts, students are required to choose a minimum of two more subjects from the following list: Arithmancy, Muggle Studies, Divination, Study of Ancient Runes, and Care of Magical Creatures. Very specialized subjects such as Alchemy are sometimes offered in the final two years if there is sufficient demand.
To be honest, after what Snape said alchemy/potions was capable of doing, I would become his best buddy and study the shit out of his knowledge like a madman. 🙏
Some of these aren’t official subjects taught, I.e. apparition isn’t exactly a subject an instructor from the ministry is sent to the school for weekend lessons
Did last for quite some weeks though, rather like taking an intensive study course in summer term. When I took driver's ed in high school, it was a whole semester.
You guys have really outdone yourselves with these collaborations. Keep up the good work! Personally, my favorite Hogwarts classes are Defense Against the Dark Arts, Charms, Transfiguration, Astronomy, and Potions.
I would be strongly interested in math(I don't know how to spell it), muggle studies, herbology, positions. I believe you can become as powerful as you want to be. Gain any power you want to have. History also, there is so much you can learn from history and ancient studies. Even be as powerful as Voldemort. Knowledge is true power! Charms can be used for emergency situations.
If I went to Hogwarts I’d probably do best in either transfiguration (as it involves picturing an object in your mind and concentration, two things I’m good at) or divination (as again, concentration, and imagination)
So glad to finally see you guys collaborate love both of your canales and been wishing for this since I came across both your channels you both do great work and love waching videos keep it up
“Astronomy is a class usually taught later in university”? Really? For me you could take an astronomy class as early as sophomore year of high school. And I believe there was a second one.
I always wandered how bings being a ghost was able to grade the exams hes students did as he isnt able to touch them or write the grade on them or even put one from the stack to grade the next one
Easy- he continues to use magic to manipulate them. I envy Professor Binns- he no longer needs things like food or sleep, and finds it much easier to keep up with grading than most of us do. --Professor Arabella Vellum, Wizard Literature

I would take Potions, Astronomy, Herbology, Care of Magical Creatures, Transfiguration, Defence against the Dark Arts and Charms
Dont forget flying, History of Magic, Arithmancy,Alchemy, Ancient Runes. Apparition.
I wish you and Mr. Ross good fortune and health as well.

A very useful guide for those puzzle doors in Hogwarts Legacy with those numbers and symbols
i prefer studying these instead of my REAL subjects
Literally everyone does.
I know.
Also, I love this friendship.
at 12:34 the Art they use is by an artist named Jason Chan. this particular artwork is of bloodline keeper, a magic the gathering vampire card.
The collab was amazing.
Hope y’all have a great day
One thing I will say is that for future collabs you don’t have to say “now I will hand it back to xxxx” it just seems less organic. Great video other than that
This^^^ I didn't know if I should mention smt, but it kinda messed with the flow of the video and sounded like a highschool group presentation
Now this is the collab I’ve been waiting for 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
5:19 It is not boring! You learn history, the most precious knowledge for your word comes from there!
Anchient studies and charms would probably be my favorites
same goes for me
DATDA for me
Also charms but on a more sophisticated level
I am subbed to both your channels
Best two harry potter people talking together
I just realised one of the reasons that scanners didn't turn fully into a water goblet was because he was a human
It could've been that but I think it was because Ron's wand was broken because the professor moody (barty crouch junior) successfully transformed draco into a ferret so I think it was because Ron broke his wand
I don't think that rat was Scabbers in the first place just one of the many animals they got to practice magic on...
@@instantentertainment2800 that makes sense, cause Hagrid's wand is broken as well and in philospher's stone he tried to turn Dudley into a pig, but the spell only gave him a tail.
Hey you two! How wonderful is this! I’m a subscriber of booth you guys. Nice to see the collab - love the video! Thx U.
What if snape had never told voldemort the prophecy
Panagiotis Moutsa i mean he would’ve found it out sooner or later
Love both of you guys I watch both of your videos all the time because you both go into so much detail when you do a video
Love that Can hear u smil ng at 1:20 :)) so happy that collab happened
I think the most interesting subjects would be ancient studies (rediscorvering some lost form of "white" magic would be so cool) and magical music vs. muggle music.
Amazing video dean keep it up loves both of your channels
Your friendship really does shine through. You guys are so polite to each other over and above what many other collabs on TH-cam are like and it's so endearing to listen to. As a fan of both your channels I hope you guys continue to do collabs because they are a joy to experience. Keep up the great work!

Morgan: Myself and Dean
Clip: Dean Thomas sees Seamus Finnigan make his face burn
I was thinking the same😂
in my head cannon, arithmancy is the most diverse subject, because it teaches non-Euclidean geometry and architecture which is essential for building the Weasley's quidditch tent, the Room of requirement and Hermione's purse
My favourite classes are transfiguration, DADA(defense against the dark arts),charms and COMC (CARE OF MAGICAL CREATURES)and Apparation.
I would probebely take Ancient Runes, Magical History, Ancient Studies, Goul Studies and Art because I'm weird that way.
Me too! Except insted of COMC potions
Love these vidoes where your both switching I watch both your videos dean & Morgan

Wow Both of my favorite Harry Potter Series channels
I Luv this video Dean and Morgan
I just watched the other collab video on the Movie Flame channel 🤩
I'm so happy y'all collaborated! I love both of your channels!!!!!
Hey Serious Question
So, Harry Potter Theory has done a video where he tells us about 21 subjects, so what is more accurate plus the list also differs slightly
By the way excellent collaboration, seen the one on MovieFlame as well.
I love Morgan's videos! Great collaboration, Gentlemen! Thanks!
Anothere much waited, epic video!!!!!!!
Aurora Sinistra was shown in the first movie in one short scene in the background. (Source: "5 Minuten Harry Podcast" - Coldmirror)
Oh my you guys are literally my two favourite people to watch videos about! I’m so excited that you guys did this!!!!
Can you please do a what if Harry accepted Draco’s handshake in first year???
If anyone has any fanfics abt this lmk cause I'm kind of interested in how things would go if this happened.
@@KIKO_01 A youtube channel called Harry Potter theory did one
This is so awesome... Thanks for this treat of having Morgan voicing over in your channel. I follow you both and I was delighted to hear you -Dean- on his channel yesterday... I know this collaboration can't be done everyday, that's why I'm glad to hear it these couple of times in such a short period! Thanks again, loved it - loved it - loved it. 💕👍
Dean please make a video on harry potter vs game of thrones
Love this collab!
Professor Sinestra appeared in the first movie next to Snape at the Headmaster's table (she was dressed all in black).
i really like your channels. i have learn so much about harry potter now, thanks to you guys. i really like, no love harry potter. thanks dean and ross
who else has seen fime flame?
Thank you guys so much! i have been hoping for a colab forever! (sorry if i spelled colab wrong) this was very enjoyable! And again Thank you so much! 🙏
I love this !! Dean and Morgan Together, My favorite youtube channels ever
Another collab yAaaaAAAs
TwT im so happy right now
I wish I knew more about arithmancy! I find it so intriguing.
Holy fuck this collab video was a great idea
Very well put video. You both compliment each other very well. And Movieflame is actually a good fellow American to listen to
To be honest, after what Snape said alchemy/potions was capable of doing, I would become his best buddy and study the shit out of his knowledge like a madman. 🙏
I LOVE BOTH OF YOUR CHANNELS
Some of these aren’t official subjects taught, I.e. apparition isn’t exactly a subject an instructor from the ministry is sent to the school for weekend lessons
Did last for quite some weeks though, rather like taking an intensive study course in summer term. When I took driver's ed in high school, it was a whole semester.
Wow this is awesome I'm constantly bouncing between the two of you creators for my Harry Potter fix. Great to have you in the same video!
I just realised that Ron trans transfigered Peter petergreiw into a cup
You guys have really outdone yourselves with these collaborations. Keep up the good work! Personally, my favorite Hogwarts classes are Defense Against the Dark Arts, Charms, Transfiguration, Astronomy, and Potions.
Incredible: The best of the U.S & the best of Ireland in content making👊👍
This and Morgan’s channel are seriously the best Harry Potter channels on TH-cam for learning about everything you can think of.
Watching many other channels I have to say anything in the Wizarding world can be understood with these channels. Truly amazing.
Loving y'all's team up! Love both y'all's channels
If I went to Hogwarts I’d probably do best in either transfiguration (as it involves picturing an object in your mind and concentration, two things I’m good at) or divination (as again, concentration, and imagination)
I love that you two are collaborating and making amazing videos to watch! Thanks!!
Duelling was taught in Harry's second year.
It was an official club, and I don't think that they actually learned anything after Harry revealed his Parselmouth ability
@@MovieMakerFanVersion Which I understand Harry lost once Voldemort was dead.
@@MovieMakerFanVersion Didn't Harry learn Expelliarmus in the first duel meeting?
So glad to finally see you guys collaborate love both of your canales and been wishing for this since I came across both your channels you both do great work and love waching videos keep it up
“Astronomy is a class usually taught later in university”? Really? For me you could take an astronomy class as early as sophomore year of high school. And I believe there was a second one.
My two favorite Harry Potter channels! I hope both of you stay safe! Keep putting out awesome content. Love from Galveston Bay Texas!
Amazing, absolutely love your channel and this collab! It would be great if you could do a video about the previous headmasters of Hogwarts (after the 4 founders die but before dumbledore)
