Great video! I've actually have owned a (pedantically treated and low milage) used 208 2017 1.2 Puretch 82 HP för one week now. I'm a little scared about the engine due to the fact that it uses a wet timing belt design (which I think is madness and I don't understand why a design with chain wasn't used instead). Replacing the timing belt is overly expensive as a great deal of engine parts has to be removed in order to reach the timing belt. I'm glad I watched your video because I'm now under the impression that the car is not an appearent disaster :) This is the smallest car I've owned but the size is perfect for me and my 20 year old cat.
@@placessweden8676 oh nice, gives me some hope. I've been looking at a 2015 1.2 but reading a lot of mixed reviews on both the timing belt and the oil consumption
@@darrenmartin234Always drain the oil from the sump, use E5 petrol only, change oil before 10k km, always use the latest approved by Peugeot, always check the belt visually for wear. All will be good. At 100k km open the sump and clean all enclosed parts meticulously.

I have leakage problem of the coolant every time i fill it more then the medium level ? is it still the water pump problem?
I don't like how high the 5 speed models have to rev at motorway speeds... an engine should not be at near 4000 rpm for long times 🤷♂️😅
i keep hearing that it consumes a lot of oil, more than normal, is it true?
Correct
500cc per 1000kms
Was the camshaft position sensor a fault on the 1.6 thp?
Does it have navigation system. Thx
Automatic gearbox is solid?
24 recalls so far. What a pile of garbage.
Either speak more clearly OR talk in your own language and use subtitles .
What? I have zero issues understanding this, unlike some native English speakers from Scotland or Ireland.
