The c6 2.0tdi was absolute nightmare to own, literally every month something kept breaking and previous owner had receipts for over 13k euros for 4 years. I ended up spending over 4k in 6 months of ownership and decided to move on...

I have a a 98 A140 Elegance. The problems I had are the following: •Engine struggling at ideal and then turning it self of - caused by ECU fault ~ 350€ •Springs, chocks and rear sway-bar (?) broken/lose (And a few other problems regarding the suspension) •Deteriorated break lines •Rust in the rear arch and sills ~3000€ in repair (Rust was there again after 3 years) •Belt and tensioner replacement 600€ (It still makes noice but the mechanic I didn’t wanted to hear from it) Parts still / again needs fixing • First gear issue during cold days •Window issues: sometimes the car refuses to close, open them. And I have to turn it of and on again •Steering alignment •Plastic replacement (Cracked or even broken) I got the car from my dad with around 130tkm or 140tkm now I am at 157tkm. After 3~4 years but the car was up to 8 months undrivable due to repairs and a repair (which I done myself) because of an accident Overall I have mixed opinions about this car Initially I hated the car but now I think it’s quite practical and even on longer drives quite comfortable especially because it’s for its age quite inside But the quality and the way it was designed make repairs relative complicated And it drives like a boat If you can choose a manual, look for rust and maintenance, listen for knocking sounds from the rear and if you can look after a model with AC and cruise control (mine is missing that and that’s one feature I actually wish to have, because of longer drives and the warm summers) Have a good drive 🫎

I got a warning coad p0711 which is transmission fluid temp sensor A circuit rang performance my car says stop and engine switches off the thing is there seems to be no temp sensor to be found ? Unless the oil leval sensor is also a oil temp sensor anyone any ideas on this ? Thanks ❤️💯🤔👍

Found out the hard (expensive) way, in the 2.5L CrDi version, you need to replace the copper injector washers every 40,000km. If you don't soot can get into the oil, forming a sludge that will block the oil pickup in the sump and eventually lead to spun bearings or broken con rods etc. Two excellent supporting mods if you plan to run these offroad are 1. an audible temperature alarm not just a light or gauge, and an oil pressure gauge to make sure oil is flowing freely. Do that before you do a two inch lift. trust me.

Worst POS gutless wonder car imaginable. My 2011LT Aveo5 is falling apart. Only 25,000 miles. The driver side door handle broke. One of the the key fobs quit working to lock/unlock. The other one never did work. The pass side and hatch key cylinders are jambed/can't get key in so only the driver side key cylinder works. Had to replace the coil pack about a year ago due to an occasional missfire. A month ago the A/C started blowing warm. I went to replace the expansion valve and the factory replacement one is totally different from the one the car came with meaning Chevrolet must have raided the parts bin and used whatever they could find to slap together the A/C system. The only positive for this thing is good fuel economy. What a joke of a car.

i drive one for 8 years now , drives verry comfortable . has 200 000km on the clock . need to replace the front end bushing . istarts to make nois on a bad road . further it needen last year a clutchplate. engine has not being tuched uses no oil wat so ever .

its nice that we know but most dont. i have 4 of them, all bought for family. All 1.6 autos as they really are amazing.. Everything they wanted at half the price. The oldest model is a 2003, 450,000 miles and still rolling. The youngest is a 2005. Same engine and auto box, 85,000 and drives like new.

I own a 2007 Mazda6 2.3L Dynamic A/T. It was a demo model with 10500km on the clock and got a substantial discount. I am very happy with this car and there is no need to change it for something else unknown.

Every car has such problem among so many cars made,but A3 stands out as high up on "no problem list"! Myself my A3 2.0fsi quattro is now up for soon 20000km! Almost no corrosion on chassi, same brake pads since new, after long trip 2000km in high speed almost all carbon build up is gone,turbo is great in accerlation, so guys this is a Premium car for shure!
