I feel that a shuttle service like this should be implemented in the Jurong Industrial Estate. It has poor transportation despite it's extremely large land area

    Great video!
Honestly, we should not observe the demand on the first few days of service because while riding LCS2, I discovered that most of the people who boarded the services are either transport enthusiasts or curious people. In other words, the demands of the services on their first few days of service may be fake.

true but also given that CAC is restricted, can alr tell there's some interest in the services alr from the target population

So im commenting this 4 months since the introduction of the LCS. LCS are temporary shuttle services, according to onemotoring, and are likely to be withdrawn when the diversion is over. Most passengers of this LCS tend to be ALPS workers, as it provides a faster journey from ALPS to the housjng estate in 40 mins compared to the 30 mins on svc 35 alone. These services were introduced likely to displace car commuters from Punggol/Tampines to ALPS to a bus, which takes up less space while transporting more people. The 3.20 dollar fare is likely to cover from losses, since the service is fully under SBST control and acts as a private svc.

From bus stop name Eunos MRT Station or Bus Interchange if you take bus service 30e to Bedok Bus Interchange is fastest.
From bus stop name Block 506 along Ayer Rajah Expressway if you take bus service 97e to Jurong East Bus Interchange is fastest.

in case any1 is wondering how changi cargo estate is restricted … i took bus 29 from dt33 tampines east station exit d, which goes thru old tampines rd, upp changi rd nth, loyang way, cranwell and eventually the infamous netheravon rd where there is the old changi hospital. i have been there 6 times before and i would usually finish the 18km trail until east coast park OR i would just stop at the end of that portion of the trail at aft changi ferry rd bus stop where it is accessible by bus 35. (to relax during sch holidays)
now there was this one time where i stopped my run abruptly at changi beach’s fifth carpark (cp5) bus stop with buses 9, 19 and 89. (context - i needed to go to lim chu kang very quickly) i boarded 9 and to my surprise, every1 started to stare at me, and all of them were uniformed. eventually the bus reached a bus stop called “police pass off” and two men with the words “auxiliary police” boarded and asked what my business there was, so i told him i was going to the mrt, as i was from the west, they were quite sympathetic and patient and told me to walk 20m to the other bus stop also titled “police pass off” and wait for another bus. i did exactly that.
as i was familiar with the east i did not want to risk boarding unfamiliar buses before taking mrt to choa chu kang, such as bus 9 to simei (ew3) or bus 53 to airport police stn, followed by 858 from near sats flight kitchen (yes, that is the actual name of the bus stop) to khatib (ns14).
so i just stuck to the trains. from bus 19, i accessed tampines east station, changed to ccl at macpherson, then nsl at bishan. then of course, it was 7:15 pm and i took our beloved 975 to lim chu kang … was a nice camp until 9:00 when i returned after completing the nyaa (national youth achievement award) task. took 975 to old choa chu kang rd and changed to 172 to take ewl from boon lay back home but still hanged around jurong point mall until late in the night
(my parents don’t live in sg, i live here alone and i have student pass so i can explore a lot while being frugal)

In 2027 if you take express bus services up to 8.2km it might charge this much when you use your card. Best is to sit bus services 30e and 97e half distance just only up to 8.2km.

Who does this actually serve? Industrial workers? It’s so long and a bit long winded. I almost died when I saw the $3.20 fare. Like I dunno leh, I’m not a bus enthusiast lah but it’s just my two cents

the video was mostly geared towards bus enthusiasts, so im sorry it felt too long winded for you. for future videos, ill try to find the right balance to ensure that the general public like you are also able to enjoy the videos!
regarding your question, the main purpose of the route is to serve both the airfright centre and the loyang industrial estate (and yes the $3.20 was equally painful for me as well)
