I've replied twice already on this thread, but now I've tasted these Philly steak bakes and I love 'em! My rating is 9/10. I buy one most weeks. I find them most handy for a quick snack or supper with not many calories.
Hi Gareth, I'm enjoying your food reviews, but have noticed the adverse comments. People should realise that up here in the North of England ( I'm from Manchester ), it's getting cold, as Winter sets in. We start to rely, on soups, pies, casseroles, stews, curries, etc. All good " belly fodder". Also, if it gets people off their backsides, and out doing a bit of shopping, instead of sat watching tv, thats a good thing. Please carry on , you can only get better, and get more subscribers.

When you were reading the description of the Philly Cheese Steak bake it sounded delicious and that was one for me to try. I was a wee bit disappointed when it was cut open however, looked flat. You saved me a £1 pal, thank you.
One of my go to’s in Florida 😋... Philly Cheese Steak 😋... it is looking a bit weak, but for a quid 🥴... Knowing what’s in it gives a fair go at making your own and doing a better job 👍...
Another great and honest review gareth I saw these reviewed by real ale craft beer the other day along with the new Guinness and steak slice and the new mac and cheese slice and even though he ate them all cold his favourite was the mac and cheese I think I'll give that one a bit of a swerve and I do like ginsters but they are a laughing stock in Cornwall 👍👍🏴☠️🏴☠️🥧🥧 but he did have his cold and was hungover but for 1 pound their steak slices are amazing and you get 2

Right , went to the shops got a pukka steak slice , never had one before or eat things like that , but ....what a delight, closest thing I could find to this as they didn't have any in tesco
Looks very flat and little filling inside it, I saw a hint of a bit of red pepper, but that's it. It seems they are reducing the amount of fillings in pies etc now, but still charging as much, if not more. I'll wait and see if Poundland get them in and cheaper, as I wouldn't pay a pound for that. Thanks for the upload, as always very useful and informative.
I've not tried these. From your taste test I'll give it a miss! You can't beat a good steak with a topping of Gorgonzola or Rocquefort! As they say, "you get what you pay for!"

I agree that these 'bakes' are tasteless. Tried a couple, at different times (second was sent as a substitute) but wouldn't buy again, even at £1, and they cost more most places round here
As someone living in the US, near Philadelphia, having eaten quite a few of them, I can state with authority that that item is no where near a genuine Philly Cheese Steak!
Aww what a shame it was a let down. 5/10 is only just acceptable. O well, you know now not to buy this one again. I hope the oven baked chook drummies are enjoyable. Sigh! We don't have a philli steak pie here, not even a bad one... If you want a philli steak roll from a T/A then be prepared to pay a gangsters ransom for it. Average 🇦🇺 $10 - $13. Never really rated Ginsters highly, tried a sausage roll a while ago and it was really bland, loads of hp sauce had to be added
Never microwave them they turn into a pile of lard 😅
Microwave destroys pastry. Airfryer is best for this.
