Being from Cornwall I can tell you that Ginsters is not loved or eaten by the Cornish .
It's still one off the best prepackaged ones you can buy easily anywhere in the UK with a decent amount of filling in it
i sense a great deal of hatred for ginsters lol....i actually rather enjoyed em
As an American I can honestly say that was the first time I've seen the inside of a "pork pie," thank you for the inclusion.
It’s a meat pie with petroleum jelly inside, they’re really tasty
All I know about the OG pasty is that it was made as it was so that the miners would hold on to the big crust with their mucky hands so that they could eat the pasty during their almost non existent breaks, I admire the miners for their hard work , when you read into the history of mining and how hard they worked. I mean it’s amazing. Also the lamb versions were notoriously welsh (as a welsh man myself I know) and they were called “oggy”
It was the tin miners, because tin was poisonous, the big crust could be held onto with hands coated in tin residue, the main pasty part eaten and then the crust thrown away, so food could be had without tin poisoning :)
I bet the people of cornwall absolutely detest ginsters brand.
@@567Productions No one should care. Down Cornwall, people over exaggerate about this stuff too much like its a big deal.
Just spent the last quarter of an hour watching a bearded guy scran pastries and I regret nothing 🎉
I am just amazed how you manage to come up with new video ideas on a frequent basis :D
"Flakier than Mrs Beards scalp!" Laughed. Out. Loud.
You are the only youtuber that I know that actually checks and reply to comments, U rock.
least i can do gabriele....sometimes takes me a while but i try get to most of the ones in the first 24 hours of upload :)
0:36 seconds in and i am more buzzed about your david lo pan tee shirt than the food aspect
Respect my dude
That Moroccan vegan pasty was my all time favourite it's soo much better than the meat alernative mainly because I normally have them cold and the meat ones have fat in the breading so I particularly love the Vegan pasty, great eat through nice history lesson and i kinda wish you would go to do somewhere like Padstow in Cornwall and have a mountain of traditional Cornish pasties.
It’s been years since I’ve eaten a pastie or a sausage roll etc. those sound awesome, chicken and mushroom would be deelish 😍
As a proud Cornish man (currently watching your vids from Sierra Leone) I’d love to see you do a challenge eating PROPER Cornish pasties, not those mass produced abominations from Ginsters
Cornish people go nuts about ginsters not being a proper pastie yet I've never seen a ginsters pastie until this video, I've only seen slices like a steak slice or chicken and mushroom whatever, they don't claim to be pasties. They are shite though the ones hot from greggs are nice, they don't claim to be pasties either. Pasties are full of veg and half cooked semi hard potato anyway, a steak slice is much better.
@@wullaballoo2642 theres a package on the table under the clock. Read it. Cornish PASTIES.
Are you with a a Australian mining company in Sierra Leone? Because I might have met you
These vids are the best. I get hungry every time. So awesome. Keep going.
Love the channel! Keep up the awesome content!
Aw man, back when I was 23stone I would have a Ginsters every morning when I got to work. Chicken Tikka was my favourite 😍 this bought back some memories 🔥
Another awesome one...thank for explaining some of the foods for us Americans
I love the tee and how happy Adam looks in the thumbnail, damn I'd be happy doing this one!
I laughed so hard at "Butt" lol. It is strange but we pronounce it like (cute) but with a B 😂😂
Please tell me that you bought all these from a petrol station at 3am.
Loved seeing new foods. So interesting to see what you pick to share with us. Lots of pastry. I would like to see you , Mrs. Beard and your Sis do a team challenge at home or in an establishment. That would be cool as long as there is something Mrs.Beard will eat .lol good video
Absolutely smashed it beard...
Can't wait for the next challenge 👍
Love the t-shirt - can't beat Jack Burton and the Pork Chop Express :)
Butte is prounounced "Beaut" like "She's a beaut!"
Yeah, I found out the hard way when I called Thumb Butte in Arizona 'Thumb Butt'...didn't go down well...
This video was greatly needed!!
Thanks for the video!!! I’m actually familiar with pasties as we lived in the UP of Michigan! The big debate between upper and lower is ketchup or gravy! 😂
Tell Mrs Beard 👋 TIL next time
What beard said: “if my oven wasn’t so noisy”
What I heard: “if my lovin wasn’t so noisy” 😐
Used to like the Ginsters buffet bar with the coleslaw centre haven't been able to find one for ages.
"When the miners went down into the mine... for a hard days.. digging!"... not mining then 😂
oh god the heartburn
Sometime a dog will see a cat and eat lol who are people sometime hey?
I notice that Adam always has a bit of a rattle cough during the challenges ...that is reflux. Not good !
Keep on rocking Mr. Beard!😎
Mrs Bears is superb. Wish we could see more of her
"Fighting crime one sip at a time" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 im dying lmfao 🤣🤣🤣
You're the BEST BRO!! Epic presenter yo! Love it! Sending love fromKent UK!😀😁😁😁
1.) I always get hungry watching your videos!
2.) I realize what a tiny selection of ready to eat / takeaway food we have here in Denmark compared to UK or USA :(
3.) Keep the great videos coming!
Hi Adam. Love to watch you. I learn a lot about London and British terminology and favorite foods. Garlic bread.😂😂😂😂😂Great video.😊😊😊😊
_"Deep filled...... Giggity"_ 😂
Impressive clearance Beard but those pork pies were in dire need of some Branston pickle.
My uncle is from the upper peninsula of Michigan (aka the U.P.) and pasties are one of the greatest foods I remember eating. I don't know if they have frozen ones up there, but I wouldn't doubt it. As a San Diego native who eats burritos somewhat regularly, pasties are pretty great!
Your side remarks are absolutely hilarious! I don’t even care about what you’re eating, just really enjoy your commentary!
Much success to you and Ms. Beard!
Elastic stomach. No idea how you put that all away. Respect Mr Beard 😂❤️
Hey Adam! Nice new place! Im from NY, USA. And I never heard if ANY of these! Enjoy!
I'm Scottish and I absolutely love Ginsters pasties. I'd be much more inclined to try the real deal though. Like homemade cornish pasties. Undoubtedly way tastier!
@@elwittinio2865 Yes ginster make horrible pies full of gristle-yuck-if you like chewing on gristle then buy ginsters....
@beardmeatsfood it’s pronounced “Beaut” as in beautiful haha it’s my home town! Love that you referenced it!
Love your videos as always I needed this after hearing about Kobe Bryant.... Never ever stop being yourself ....Nothing but love and Respect ..be safe be blessed
100% want to see Nanna Pirate Beard now.
Great video as usual .........Didn't see the little Ginsters buffet bar though beard ?!
your commentary and hand gestures are on point ''for a hard days... digging''
You should a series we’re you eat foods from different decades each video
Im loving the "big trouble on little China town" t-shirt
I personally love ginsters. They are very flavourful and i have them every morning!
I didn't know there were that many of these this is a staple on building sites for us grubby builders! Your video has given me some much needed knowledge when searching for the ideal lunch tomorrow thank you beard!!
You should think about getting the beard Scott Guarded so that the food bits and liquids will slid off.
You brought back the shirt from Big Trouble In Little China :) those look yummy. Glad you seemed to enjoy it. You know that Mrs beard is going to get you one of these days and I'm going to laugh.
You have a blessed Soul have a blessed day and blessed life doing what you love and thanks for all you do for us
They also do brunch bar and a scotch egg bar I think. One filled with colslaw and other such delights.
Watching this has given me extreme heartburn🤢
I live in Montana and the way you pronounce Butte is like “beaut” as in the word beautiful😂 I hope that makes sense!
As one of your Montana Fans I highly approve of this video and I also just give a tremendous thumbs up for the Big Trouble in Little China T-Shirt! You’re the man! 🤟🏻🤟🏻
Great video 😁👍love the shirt you got on, big trouble in little china is one of my favourite films
another great challenge, thank you! Reminds me of when I was on holiday in Scotland and I fancied a pork pie and chips from the chippy, but was dismayed when the pork pie was dropped in the fryer to heat it up!
Are you sure it wasn’t a scotch pie? Never heard of a pork pie being sold in a Scottish chippy. It’s a chip shop everything in the shop is deep fried including the pizza, also available dipped in batter....heart attack in every bite but worth it 👍🏼
@@wendymarshall9611 It certainly looked like a pork pie, as I saw it in the glass fronted cabinet... it had a ball of pork meat in the centre with runny (melted) jelly round the ball of meat after it was deep fried!
The gingsters ploughman’s roll is my favourite out of the range!
YES YES YES The ultimate grafters stomach purge !!!!!!!!!
Hi Mr B all that food was jumbo size, the sausage rolls were huge and the pasties like half the size of a dinner plate. Well done mate that was truly awesome. All your fans in N Ireland wish you luck for the next big challenge . Rob .
The heartburn must be real after this
Butte = “Bee-yoot” in one syllable
No way, butte sucks 😂 I live in Montana and butte is no fun 😂 however I do live in the Capital (Helena) and this place sucks too😂 however it is very beautiful here
That looked so tuff at the end , reminded me of Mr Creosote from The meaning of life . Thought you were gonna explode 😆
Great choice and a lot of food in around 45mins. Great fun we enjoyed the show. Chocolate pasty 🎊 wow that would be a great desert.
Butte is "beaut" as in beautiful
"shut up Adam" 😂
My great grandparents came from England and went to Montana for my great grandpa to work in the mines. My great grandpa passed away from black lung long before I was born, but my great grandma lived to 94! We still cook our family Pastie Pie recipe they brought from England in Washington state over 80 years later!
This is the best food challenge by far beard meats and food great stuff mate 👏😉👍
Bro I had one of those when I was in England... I'm so, so sorry you had to eat all those.
That cafetiere jug vanished to from where it came!
That cheeky fart, though. Haha!
What happened to the Buffet Bars?? Do a buffet bar challenge!
Adam, you said "delicious" in this video! :O
its great for a drinking game: watch some BMF and drink every time Beard says delicious, i promise youll get hammered ;D
Nice one, Adam; as an ex-pat living in Vancouver, I don't consider my visits back home to England complete unless I've eaten a cold Ginsters sausage roll / cornish pasty from a petrol station.
I have randomly just found your channel, unsure how or why! But now I am in full on marathon mode watching your videos 🤣 where do you put it all?! Are you ever sick afterwards and how do you keep the weight off?! Genuine questions! Thanks!
thanks for watching...no, there's kind of a brief explanation in the description, but i basically eat almost nothing 5 days a week lol
BeardMeatsFood ah haha I see, I fast sometimes so I suppose it’s similar! Loving your videos, scared you are going to have a heart attack though! Will keep on watching! Thanks so much for replying!
'Most of the vegans out there are level headed' 😶🤣🤣🤣
Instead of perpetuating ignorant stereotypes here's a little test that you can do for yourself - go on 5 videos promoting the carnivore diet and then go on 5 videos promoting the vegan diet. Compare the two comment sections side-by-side and see for yourself which of the two groups is the more extremist and lacking in level-headedness.
Personally I choose a plant-based diet because vegans have significantly lower rates of diabetes, cancer, strokes and heart disease.
I’m from England and I’ve never heard it called gin-sters 😂🇬🇧
I don’t know what it is about this brand of pastry, but they really upset my digestive tract. So props to you for eating so many :-)
I love all your videos, I love you, plainly put. And the city in Montana is Bee-Yute :)
Gonna take a while to process those.....
Butte, sounds like newt.
😂😂
*but don't take my word for it, I'm an Englishman.
Sweet creamy overtones would be a brilliant name for a covers band for crème brulee..
Lo Pan has magic power of pastry ! You are spot on, it was a miners packed lunch. Poor Mrs Beard 😂 Deep filled, Giggity 😂
Evening all! I promised myself I'd make a concerted effort to do more popular requests in 2020, and one of the most common things I've been asked over the last couple of years is to do a Ginster's pasty challenge....I get the feeling it might be lost on the international audience a little, but hey it should be a larf nonetheless!
Hope you can join me for the next video this Thursday at 7pm GMT! As always I appreciate the support. Have a great week :)
Butte is pronounced like beaut or B-ute
I challenged you few week back to do a pie n mash challenge....and you bottled it saying you don't like pie?????
Fair enough if you want to be picky on challenges but thought you wasn't scared of anything. ....hey ho.....I remain the pie n mash king
I remind you of challenge just in case you man up and take it on.
Go to pie n mash shop
Order double bubble with your choice of liquor or gravy.
I managed 8 in just over an hour (due to them having to make more mash)
Your challenge is 9 double bubbles in the hour.
Goodluck
Love a good pasty and sausage.. roll 😭 sorry 🤦🏼♀️😂
@@katewinslow2798 i figured, although technically I feel obliged to point out that given the rules of the english language, it can't be pronounced that way with two ts in the middle lol
