Hi there. Funny you ask that; such a video has been on our minds. Hopefully we might get a vid out about that very subject shortly. There's a lot to consider regarding this.
Thanks so much for getting back! We also currently homeschool which looks to be legal in Paraguay. Do you know offhand if there are any va(cine requirements, or if you are allowed to decline all?
Happy to share our thoughts about that (a subject close to our hearts). If you shoot us an email we can speak more freely about such things...hola@adirtcheaplife.com.
A big topic. First, regarding groceries, if you go to our blog adirtcheaplife.com we have a post detailing costs of basic food items. You can rent a nice apartment for around $270 USD a month outside of Asuncion. I am talking about the Caacupe area (that's where we're located). $35-40k USD gets you a basic house (again, in the Caacupe area). If you want more specific information regarding real estate in Asuncion drop us an email and we can put you in contact with a reliable English speaking agent. Power/utilities are very cheap compared to just about anywhere I know. If you're frugal your $ can further here than most places.

Any tips or thoughts on moving from the U. S. with 5 small children? We currently live off grid and are looking for a place to be sustainable.
