    Just having the glass clean made a big difference! The tint made it that much nicer again.

    killing it man! I hated these trucks SO much because of these back glasses. What I used to do was gut the inside gasket ever so slightly angled inward and it would give a 1/16" little bit of wiggle room on the inside. You said it perfect, "CLEAN,CLEAN,CLEAN!!!"

    • @FadeToBlackLLC
      @FadeToBlackLLC  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah that works, make a channel for the film to fall into. If you can make it a nice clean cut outside I found that helps to keeps the shape of film matching the inside.
      Then clean the heck out of it so all your work isn't wasted when you get the film inside.

    Looks amazing man. Thanks for all the info. Just a suggestion, wouldn’t be better to use a paint scraper to clean inside the channel to not risk cutting the rubber seal? Sealing

    so no shrinking with the heat gun? did you trim your corners better once you removed from the window or was that the only cut you did?

    • @FadeToBlackLLC
      @FadeToBlackLLC  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You don’t have to shrink but it wouldn’t hurt. Just do it like a camper window.
      Once you install trim if needed. All of these aren’t exactly the same so adjust.

    • @FadeToBlackLLC

      Hi, can’t really say since I don’t know what your truck looks like and how clean the seals are but just clean them with a toothbrush scrub really well and follow the same procedure and modify after we install. Maybe you have to do it once or twice to get it how you like it.

    Do you bother shrinking the rear glass on trucks or do you pretty much touch up fingers on the inside?

    • @FadeToBlackLLC
      @FadeToBlackLLC  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I usually do shrink the new solid windows of trucks just to make the bottom have tension to keep the fingers away. It's better to do it outside then bringing heat in the vehicle.
      I probably could have put some heat on this one too but I didn't. Definitely wouldn't hurt any.
      Did you check out my Shrink video? I talk about this more in there.

    • @FadeToBlackLLC
      @FadeToBlackLLC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure what your referring to? I cut these add lay them inside. They aren't perfect but it looks good. As I also mentioned the customer was selling it and just wanted it tinted to make it look better and was happy with how it turned out. ✌🏾

    • @FadeToBlackLLC
      @FadeToBlackLLC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's Called Reverse roll. Roll up the film and unroll it onto the surface. It's a better way to handle large pieces of film. A little tricky but once you get used to it it works awesome. I do the same thing in all my Windshield videos too. Check those out. I have a full playlist of them.

    • @FadeToBlackLLC
      @FadeToBlackLLC  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you look at my other videos you'll see I use microfiber towels. With these old trucks and rubber seals I can just throw away paper towels because they are filthy after cleaning.
      I don't get these windows often but these are the steps I take to get a clean install.

      This was an old dirty truck he wanted done to make it look better to be sold. I tell the customers I'm not pulling the glass out, I trim it and just make it look clean.
      Before they leave it tell them if they have any issues let me know. So I this thing is long gone and I done get these in that often.
