I hated secondary inspection. As soon as I walked into the room, someone was getting deported. I waited for 2.5 hrs. The screen between you and the officer is thick and the a/c is loud so you basically have to shout your most personal details at them for the whole room to hear. The lady before me had to talk loudly about all her cancer treatments with her son right there. Also, they don't advise you to bring any documents into the room. All they say is to leave your bags at the door. So if the officer is asking for proof of something that may be in your hand luggage, you aren't able to go and get it. They spent almost 30 minutes asking me everything about my mom and dad, all my social media info, and then finally ended by asking me if I'd traveled to any Middle-Eastern countries, and then I was like "Ohhhhhh.. It's because of my last name".
Hi Jacob, My brother and their family was denied entry to USA and sent back. They were coming on Tourist visa. They asked them to sign the forms which they did with out reading, coz the officer was forcing them to sign. I am confused about the next steps. I haven't met them for years.
It seems these days immigration officers are not so lenient with Africans with B2 visas visiting the country even if it's for a couple of weeks or months. I got called in for secondary questioning when I landed some days ago and was very sincere with my responses. The immigration officer who questioned me (black American) after a some few minutes told me that she would give 29 days instead of the 2 months I planned to stay for. But after a couple of info given she considered my travel history being good and said if I planned on extending my ticket stay it will issue a red flag on their system and affect my travel even after giving me the stamp and 6 months usual duration. I want to know how true it is about the red flag on my extended stay.
Are you sure Custom Immigrations Officers have the right to search your belongings especially your phone and computer? I just can't believe that to be true. Isn't that in violation with the law especially when there is no real cause for such a search?
It’s true they can, and if you refuse they will give you the hardest time of your life. They’ll leave you with PTSD forever. The US Customs Agents are tyrants because they know you cannot record them and they don’t even have bodycams on. I hate America because of them!
I was removed last year for unjustifiable reasons... i got a 5 year ban on my passport. But may i ask i am a dual citizen if i reapply on my other passport is it possible to avoid the 5 year ban that way or is it better to contact the embassy ?
Hi Jacob, i have a question : someone who had in the past a 5 years expiral removal from another country ( like canada). Could he get to USA with his tourist visa or Green card?
Hi Jacob, I am a US citizen (also from San Diego specifically :P) who has been overboard for 8 years. I got married exactly a year in the country I have stayed my years in after I quitted my job to pursue a new career. I have never applied for any green cards for my wife, and just so happened, I got admitted to a very top-notch 3-months certification program in LA and it will start in 2 months. I am planning to bring my wife to stay with me on her tourist visa which she had gotten a year before we were married. However, I worry about my wife getting turned away from the PoE. What do you think I should do to maximize her chance to be admitted? Do you think bringing proofs on public housing (with her name on it) in her home country and family obligation be sufficient (she has to take care of her mom who has trouble walking)?
Better go to the USA embassy and let them guide you through that! Lawyers just take your money for the same advice. If you do things by the book, no problem. I have seen people with properties and wealthy and be refused entry. Others with a return ticket and few bucks and go in without an issue.

How long can a green card holder stay outside the US without running foul of the law? 3, 4, 5, 6months?
Is it easier to enter the 2nd time with a esta I got questioned the first time but was allowed in will it be difficult again?
Are Venezuelans with the proper documentation currently allowed to enter the USA?

They tear your car down and find the drugs, then prison.
