I just caught the tail end of this episode on television. It’s amazing how as you get older, things that didn’t interest you as a child does. My mom used to watch this in the 80s. It was a rerun then. I hated it. Every now and then, a good western movie would come on, on Sundays. I’d keep still here and there. I’m so happy I started watching this show.
These large cats, as adults, can be 30 inches in height at the shoulder, and approximately 8 feet long from nose to tail. The tail of the Mountain Lion is about one-third the entire length of the body. Mountain Lions usually weigh between 75-175 pounds. The largest Mountain Lion ever to be documented weighed 276 pounds, but a Lion of this size is extremely rare.
This is the same location they settle a lot of scores. Little Joe was held captive here once by a rival family member and they eventually became friends.

What was that crap I heard instead of the Bonanza Theme?????
The Bonanza theme is copyrighted, even though the early episodes are public domain. They had to put in a generic-sounding Western theme to replace it.
The cheesey music is terrible.
