I really, really, really enjoy these Foundation A vs Foundation B vs Foundation C type SCP entries. Really brings a surreal atmosphere to the entire to the "what if-" kind of mindset with all SCP universes.
We exist as Lovecraftian entities destroying countless realities, not out of malice or spite, but out of benign forgetfulness. The existence of the foundation depends on our collective memory, and so it delays the inevitable. It doesn't want us to forget about it, and so it creates countless realities for us to consume.
One of those videos where I go back to multiple times for being soothing to sleep, to know what's going on, and to confirm what I heard was correct as I didn't properly understand it.
I barely understood the whole scope of the story. From what I got, this “Worm” entity eating corrupted timelines/parallel universes is actually an object equivalent to a rock in a higher dimension. This higher dimension seems to be in a midst of a war, where our section of reality has been hit or in the process of being hit.
I just woke up around 1:13:22 and recall a very vivid series of dreams SCP related. It was dark, creepy, and awesome. I love sleeping to these videos, it steers my dreams.
16:20 The random warframe screenshot really got me. Im listening to this relatively serious reading of a scp-file, and then BAM! Remember the silly spinny laser-thing? The one that kept knocking you on your ass when you started playing the space-ninja game? Thats just here now.
he doesnt even need to consistently produce new content for us, even his past work is worth rewatching. his presentation is as significant as the subject itself. i swear he could read off the nutritional facts on the labels of canned food and id listen to it to hear his opinion of the contents of tomato soup
I gotta be honest, I didn't care much for the Project Palisade storyline until the last part of SCP-3591. It really put into perspective what's "really" happening, with the Foundation of the Mainline Reality being powerful enough to create ENTIRE ALTERNATE REALITIES, and yet still not being powerful enough to avoid a ricocheting rock thrown in a war happening between forces they can't possibly comprehend. Really boggles my mind.
That is what really turned me off to it. I liked the idea of the one true universe creating copies of themselves just to use as bait to desperately survive an all ending universal threat, but then if fell into the same horribly overplayed and overused "Lovecraftian" trope. The old nothing matters we are so small we are less than ants to them. Its so old and overplayed.
i love how the UIU is a joke in all universes, except on this one and a few others... doomed to die there seems to be a correlation... Also... damn, barely bugs in a war of "humans"... and those "gods" probably have "gods" above them... man, its a cage within a cag within a cage to infinity -> amazing...
Can I just say how much I love that thumbnail? I truly can't tell if it's intentional, but at a small size it looks like a gigantic humanoid face and hands holding up a much smaller human, as if in curiosity...

It honestly makes so much sense and works well into the narrative. That's so cool! Now for my thoughts on this video where both parts are combined: I still agree. This is very interesting. Definitely some of favorite kinds of SCP's for sure. It's so existential and nearly impossible to understand the scale of something like this. On a controversial note, this ending reminds me of one of the weirdest aspects regarding religion. Kinda like the idea of a world-destroying entity that couldn't care less that we are here, one way or another. It makes sense from a Platonic perspective, for example, if Good, capital G, is a person, then opposing that person is bad by definition, you need to accepted the hierarchial superiority of Good, to be good, and you need to worship Good to be good. (Good capital G being "Goodness itself")
@@duckdialectics8810 why wouldn't just being good be enough for the Good entity? I.e. following their tenants, accepting their wisdom, etc? Worship is this extra step. @@skeetsmcgrew3282 I’m a bit late here but “worship” is basically a ritual of acknowledgment, affection, love, and appreciation on a grand cosmic scale. It’s like giving someone a thumbs or a hug, and also saying “thank you”, “I care about you/I love you”, “forgive me”, and “I’m doing my best” all wrapped into one. Showing how you feel about others is important to most people and (I guess) to God too.

This... reminds me of the scp computer that sends people back in time making a second timeline where things would end after a certain point. But on the screen of the computer you could have q chat with who went back and there be a icon of a dog on the screen chasing a ball. It's chained up but when it gets the ball the other universe is destroyed.

This scp really made me think. About humans, the universe and our place in it. The juxtaposition between us and something like bugs is brilliant. So basically the reason everyone saw that entity differently is because it existed in so many other realities and they are all different. Some more then others. Even if its 'state', was the same. Or, and now that i think about it and this seems maybe more likely: We all see reality slightly differently so we were 'attuning' its image to what makes most sense to us as an individual. At least thats how i understood it. Thinking on it some more and the more 'meta' meaning of this story; both of these could be true, either or none. Its all interpretation, isnt it? Anyway, great scp. Its now one of my favs.

Very well poetically said. It reminds me of that lovecraftian god who sleeps and its dreams are our reality. What happens when it wakes? How can we even tell? Would we even recognise our non-existence, if it woke? It cuts right to the question of what is death/life itself... Its a huge mindfuck, if anything.
You are almost certainly the person most qualified to answer the question "When did SCP turn into a venue for people to submit their failed screenplays instead of a venue to express fun and scary little ideas we could all enjoy. I'll watch that video.

Fun Fact: This hub also includes Daffodils, a short story of an Agent Ben Green who spends the last moments of his life (as his universe ends) with his one true love, himself (precisely an alternate self of his).
I wouldn't mind if SCP-3591 death and the Worm was caused by the wars of the low elder gods in the SCP Mythos. The Scarlet King is raging a massive cosmological war with a massive empire to boot. To SCP-682 and SCP-173 this is all stuff they are used to seeing.

Depends what level of reality we assume the scarlet king resides in because if it's part of the False Realities Made by the "Mainline foundation" them the Rock(/worm) wins but If it's on the same level as the ones who threw the rock that is the worm then the scarlet king effortlessly wins

@@skeetsmcgrew3282 It is enough, but if the Form of the Good, Goodness itself, is a person, than you cannot be good AND rebel against it. That is the point
Showing how you feel about others is important to most people and (I guess) to God too.
omg finally there is a combined versiom, i loveeeee
Oh boy 1 AM!
I want a Jack Proton's Atomic Zapper gun. they should makeit available in the S. C. P. store!
I was not expecting an expansion on the palisade entry. This is good!
Just in case anyone missed it - it's strongly implied that we are only a copy reality, and an unstable one at that. Food for the Worm.
Or maybe we are the worm
We exist as Lovecraftian entities destroying countless realities, not out of malice or spite, but out of benign forgetfulness.
The existence of the foundation depends on our collective memory, and so it delays the inevitable. It doesn't want us to forget about it, and so it creates countless realities for us to consume.
We die in the night, so you can live in the park
Thank you for all the work you put in on these, and I hope your break is giving you everything you were looking for.
I do like the Black Queen(s) involvement in this SCP, she feels aligned to the foundation or at least their goals in some way as it seems they are involved in aspects of Project Palisade
16:17 omg its the Warframe Spy mission vault from the reworked Corpus tileset of Jupiter! :D
It is my birthday on the 22nd (Jan.) and I will greatly miss listening to your content on my birthday. That is all.
When you forget about a head canon, it's consumed by "the worm"
Happy birthday bearded Christmas man! Gifts of lessons and of honorary gradual thankings for providing when needed at important times to study! Thank you!
The ending made me understand why Ideon looks like a GM....
I have been waiting for this one.

Anyone else miss SCP's about infinite potato bags? Its only SCP vs or SCP's so grand in scale I need an hour or two to dissect. We have fallen.
I can't tell if your reuploading or not but I recall this story like it was deja vu.
Once more, will see some bits and then leave a nice like.
Oh goody, a foundation cult. I'm sure _that_ won't end in fire and Cessation.
The falafel mouse was around a few ghosts.
The mainline SCP Foundation are quite similar to the Utopian humans SCP (past and future). They both want to sacrifice others for their own survival and peace.

Sounds like DC Infinite Crisis stuff. The gods above gods sound like the "New Gods".
The 05 guys with tele kill alloys I thought would defeat the hat......
No way I JUST relistened to this LAST WEEK
This... reminds me of the scp computer that sends people back in time making a second timeline where things would end after a certain point. But on the screen of the computer you could have q chat with who went back and there be a icon of a dog on the screen chasing a ball. It's chained up but when it gets the ball the other universe is destroyed.
somehow ive been into scp for years and managed to not learn about this till now. definitely seems like required reading for a good base knowledge of how scp canons work
Kinda sounds like a big analogy for cancer and death. The entity (death) not being avoidable, using corruption (radiation) to "delay" this entity etc

Love to hear more about mr. Nobody
This scp really made me think.
About humans, the universe and our place in it.
The juxtaposition between us and something like bugs is brilliant.
So basically the reason everyone saw that entity differently is because it existed in so many other realities and they are all different. Some more then others. Even if its 'state', was the same.
Or, and now that i think about it and this seems maybe more likely:
We all see reality slightly differently so we were 'attuning' its image to what makes most sense to us as an individual.

1:22:22 LMAOO such a profound and hilarious anlogue 😂👌🏾
Fun Fact: This hub also includes Daffodils, a short story of an Agent Ben Green who spends the last moments of his life (as his universe ends) with his one true love, himself (precisely an alternate self of his).
I am willing to go to pretty extreme levels, I’ll sacrifice Wingstop
Nobody will miss it
@@thebighurt2495 no need to be so hurtful! Lol
14:54 So, it's kinda like William Gibson's _The Peripheral_ , but as an SCP.
Shoutout to this video for giving me the weirdest dreams
I thought this one was REALLY dumb at first... but it ends on such a gloriously cosmic horror vibe... that I did enjoy it.

Depends what level of reality we assume the scarlet king resides in because if it's part of the False Realities Made by the "Mainline foundation" them the Rock(/worm) wins but If it's on the same level as the ones who threw the rock that is the worm then the scarlet king effortlessly wins
Hey Mangg, thank you for using artists' works instead of AI and also thank you for crediting them
I hope you're doing well!
Omfg Agent Duma saved many souls and put them in that box in order to float around when liberated in this world in a different form, that is why the population of pufflings white cutie floaters jigglers increased recently. I seriously have like 40 of these guys now, they are cozy funny hehehe and they like strong good smells of authenticity essences of good works, I witnessed just 5 of them arriving 2 years ago. They didn't multiplied, they called others, they are finite migratory species of souls in a company matter. They like to do pranks when people are hasty also. I liked to think this is just a author who was pissed off at all the canons being made and said “Screw it. We’re going even more meta!”
That was absolutely brilliant great work again pal, I'm going to watch another video have lot catching up to do ❤
