They have raised the prices this year but I believe you are right the standard range started at £38,000 and the Long Range at around the £42,000-£45,000 mark. The car is on lease so not owned outright hence not being crystal clear on the price. I was also deducting the £3,500 government grant from the total price. Haha! Good point, the technology is definitely there with Tesla but they just need to tidy up the quality control. I think you made the right decision for now 👍🏻
I have to agree, I don't know what you're using for your audio but it's really not good unfortunately. I use a free app called recforge on my old Samsung S4 with a lav mic that cost me just over a quid and it's belting

Yes I believe the long range was £40,000 + £1000 for the blue and £1000 for the white interior upgrade.
