I love the cardboard DIYs because not only are they sustainable, cardboard is so easy to get ahold of! Would love to see some DIY projects upcycling cereal boxes, Pringle cans, etc., too, if you ever get the chance!
Cardboard hoarders unite 🙋🏽♀️😂The arch shelf is amazing. 😌 Who knew cardboard could be used to create beautiful pieces like this? The bookends are lovely. Such fun projects. Well done, Tina!
These were great! I try to make my son something for Christmas each year- his favorite past time is snowboarding in Colorado- so I’m going to make those bookends using the color tones of the Colorado Rockies starting with white and going down- using some of his photos for reference. I know he will love these! Thank you for the great inspiration and demonstration. Thanks to Amazon Prime I have a TON of cardboard sitting around. Great channel, ideas and explanations!
Tina! These are so fantastic! Such a high end dupe and your creative expertise only made them look better. I was skeptical from them thumbnail but you honestly nailed all of them, like the Pro you are! A huge thanks for the inspo and butt kick to get us doing better crafts. 🥰
The arch shelf turned out so awesome! 😍 What a great idea to diy, I’ll have to keep that in mind for sure! 🤩 Love the gradient effect on the bookends as well! 🤩💜 Brilliant work as usual, Tina 🥰
When layering corrugated cardboard (the cardboard in the arch bookshelf), do the first piece with corrugations running horizontal and the next layer have the corrugations running vertical it gives the project added strength.
This video is so great! You are so creative and clever! I just love how you presented your unique ideas, tips and tricks. Plus your videos are visually pleasing and easy to follow. I’ve been making diy videos for a while but I know there is still so much to learn. I have been wanting to recreating high end stores items but haven’t yet. I love the idea of making dupes on a budget. I’m happy to come across a talented creator like you. I’d really love to learn more from each other.
I love projects like these, that are functional for your home but also using materials that you’d otherwise just throw away or recycle. It’s really cool to see you finding a use for them.
Loved both of these projects. I used a lightweight spakle on a plywood bookshelf tree I made. It was great to work with. My favorite project of yours is the bathroom!! We are moving soon so cardboard will be abundent!!
To minimise bubbles when pouring cement into moulds, try vibrating them with a sander (stand the mould on a suspended piece of wood with the sander against it - doesn’t need to be free suspension, just enough to ensure it’s not completely supported by a flat surface, a couple of bricks will do)
When I heard you say, "the joint compound already looks good, so you can leave it as-is..." I thought to myself, "Tina's definitely going to sand it. " lol Both projects look fantastic!!
I've been trying to find a little shelf I could put in my half-bath to hold small cosmetics and other items, since there's no medicine cabinet, and this little arch would look great in there! Thanks for the inspiration, Tina.
Love your awesome projects. The shelf is really cool and the bookends are so awesome with the different colors. I just found your channel and am looking forward to discovering all your diy magic. 🤗🤗🤗
Hey Tina, FYI you can also use paper medical tape from your first aid kit in a pinch. If you use it, the adhesive is incredibly strong (got the idea after seeing how difficult it is to remove from skin). The paper is also very porous, so it will soak up other adhesive, paint, paper mache etc... There is another medical tape that is more of a cloth and would likely repel most of those materials, it is also thicker. I throw my paper medical tape into my craft stuff because the adhesive can start to break down after a year and be a bit less effective on skin, plus the sides just gather germs. It sill holds like super glue, just sometimes doesn't stick to skin so well due to the oils.
Loved the shelf!!😍😍😍😍😍 the Bookends turned out very cool!! I really enjoyed your video this week.. thank you for sharing what is possible with some imagination and some cardboard!!! ☺️☺️☺️
WOW! You are such a creative genius! I love everything! I love watching your videos and seeing what and how you create things! I’m so impressed by you! Keep up the great work! ❤️
Love your ideas when completing the final coat of drywall mud you can take a damp ... not too wet brush, sponge or paper towel to smooth out the surfaces
Girl, you're that person that looks at something expensive and go "I can make that." and actually making it and doing it well! lol We just moved into our first house too earlier this month but unfortunately (or fortunately?) it's a new construction so there's not much to change up for now. But these little diy decor ideas are great and inexpensive. I'm a bit upset that hubby already threw away some nice cardboard that could be used for these projects, but you can always find it anywhere. Thanks for the inspiration, glad I found your channel!
I cannot believe how expensive that shelf looks for such a simple project made with such inexpensive materials! Definitely putting it on my list to try! ❤
I love your cardboard diys! We are ex-pats living on Mahe island, Seychelles. Everything is so expensive here so I do not want to buy decor items just to leave them after two years, we also believe in sustainability that said I also want my rental house to feel like home. This rental house is a bit of a hot mess - little weird nails in between tiles in the bathroom, unfinished crown molding, weirdly placed aircons! It is also fully furnished with old broken furniture...it adds charm... But you are such an inspiration I getting all my plans ready to at least make it feel like our home.
I love it when something I’ve hoarded for so long can finally come in use 😍 These are so awesome 👏🏻 is joint compound safe without a sealant? I’m thinking of recreating the isobel shelf, I’ve been eyeing it on Urban outfitters since ages. Can it also be made with papier-mâché like the arches?
Very nice. Also wanted to mention, you are recycling & keeping cardboard out of the landfill.with the shelf- would you seal that also? So that it’s easier to wipe down from dust?
Suggestion... Plaster of Paris. Smooth to pour. Self Leveling in molds. (Still need to tap out air bubbles) Light weight over cardboard molds. Cement/Ceramic/stone finish. Easy to tint/color. Hope to see what you create with it. Live the Dream!
Great ideas! I saw Geneva Vanderzeil last year also recreating the shelf with a slightly different technique, it's good to know there are different ways :)
Hey guys! Quick tip for making use of the flimsier cardboard: when layering/stacking to make a thicker board, alternate the grain for more strength 👌🏾
Thank you for sharing this tip!! Definitely going to do this next time 😇
I love the cardboard DIYs because not only are they sustainable, cardboard is so easy to get ahold of! Would love to see some DIY projects upcycling cereal boxes, Pringle cans, etc., too, if you ever get the chance!

My brain is spinning with even more ideas for future cardboard DIYs 😍😍 Thanks for the love always, Zoey 💛

🥰
I love arches. They are all over Israel. There's something ancient, modern and timeless about them. They look delicate, but have great strength.
The arch shelf turned out so awesome! 😍 What a great idea to diy, I’ll have to keep that in mind for sure! 🤩 Love the gradient effect on the bookends as well! 🤩💜 Brilliant work as usual, Tina 🥰
Thanks, Elina! I hope you give it a try! Such a fun project that looks amazing 😍
This is exactly the type of DIYs I love love love seeing! More videos like this!
The texture that the cardboard adds to the bookends is awesome
When layering corrugated cardboard (the cardboard in the arch bookshelf), do the first piece with corrugations running horizontal and the next layer have the corrugations running vertical it gives the project added strength.
This thought came to my mind too!
Oh I love how the shelf turned out!! 😍 wonderful as always!✨

The DIY bookends are such a good idea! I've been looking for some new ones but they can get pricey- these turned out so cute!
Your creativity never ceases to amaze me. Love the projects!
I love these DIY’s! Your videos just keep getting better and better
Loved, loved your arched shelf. How imaginative, creative, and talented are you!
Wow those bookends came out so cool. I was a little worried that you wouldn't get the wavy affect you wanted but you did! I love them.
I love this portal AC. We can move around the house. Definitely need it for the hot summer.
Omg I love the bookends!!!!
I am going to make those bookends. They are so, so cool. Another great video, Tina!
Love the idea of using the cardboard as a mold. I wasn’t sure about it, but it looked great. The bookends also really looked like Mt. Fuji to me 😁
Wow! Tina, those came out so nice. I really love the bookends, that is such an amazing idea.
Love the arch shelf! I’ve been hoarding a few pieces of really thick cardboard knowing it would be good for something and this is great inspiration!
Yassss! So many amazing things you can make with cardboard and this is definitely one of my fave projects I've made with it 😍
Tina you always amaze me with your unique DIY projects.♡🤍♡
The book ends are so cool!! ❤️❤️
The arch would make a great place to put your sunglasses and maybe keys by a door. The book ends look high end. Great job! I love all your diys.
This is a life saver when you need one the most!
I love projects like these, that are functional for your home but also using materials that you’d otherwise just throw away or recycle. It’s really cool to see you finding a use for them.
You are the queen of dyi’s with recycled items ♥️
i love this! so creative
Love love it!!! Absolutely beautiful!!!!
Loved both of these projects. I used a lightweight spakle on a plywood bookshelf tree I made. It was great to work with. My favorite project of yours is the bathroom!!
We are moving soon so cardboard will be abundent!!
These are great DIYs, Tina! Love how both turned out. I can't believe the first one was cardboard!
Thank you, Misty!! 💛💛

What cement should be used? Would it help if we insert some sticks while pouring the cement?
I love both of these diy’s. You make everything look great. Cement is my thing right now, going to try those bookends for sure.
Love this project. Took a screenshot and immediately sent it to my daughter. Now I have another great project to make for her new apartment!
Oooh, perfect timing! I need some bookends for a new shelf. 🤗✨
Yayyy! Hope this gives you some good inspo 😇😇
Wow! These are beautiful ideas! You always inspire me!
Love these ideas!!😍 they look so good! Makes me wanna try them!
You just elevated my diy collection. How did I not know about joint compound
When I heard you say, "the joint compound already looks good, so you can leave it as-is..." I thought to myself, "Tina's definitely going to sand it. " lol
Both projects look fantastic!!
Hahaha! You guys know me too well 🙈🙈 Thanks so much, Tris 💛
Please help. What is this joint compound?
@@balkrishnaparab3353 it’s a type of drywall paste to patch up walls, you can find it at Home Depot
Girl, I love your creativity
Thank you so much! I love arches and plan to put this at the top of my shelf.

I've been trying to find a little shelf I could put in my half-bath to hold small cosmetics and other items, since there's no medicine cabinet, and this little arch would look great in there! Thanks for the inspiration, Tina.

The arch book shelf was very creative …

That cute shelf! Who would have thought!
Great projects, especially the shelf! I was thinking that it would look good with wavy lines between the colors, then you did. It looks great!
Love your ideas when completing the final coat of drywall mud you can take a damp ... not too wet brush, sponge or paper towel to smooth out the surfaces
Love both creation but love the bookends the best 🤩
Awww! Thanks, Kelly 🥰🥰
Tina i just love watching you DIY and usually I am too lazy 😂 to recreate anything, but I mayHAVE to make those bookends!
Girl, you're that person that looks at something expensive and go "I can make that." and actually making it and doing it well! lol

Great idea with cardboard. I’ll definitely try these. Thank you!
Love the arch shelf
I love how the shelf turned out! Need to start saving some cardboard. I’m the type of person who sorts all recyclables as soon as they enter the house
I cannot believe how expensive that shelf looks for such a simple project made with such inexpensive materials! Definitely putting it on my list to try! ❤
Gorgeous projects! What kind of cement do you use?
I love your cardboard diys!

Content made with perfection. Keep it up, never give up. Full support and a huge like from me 🤩🤩👍🏻👍🏻

Yes! You can definitely use paper mache on top as well. I would say to seal the joint compound with a clear coat or paint (:
Always so nice thank you for sharing
Very nice. Also wanted to mention, you are recycling & keeping cardboard out of the landfill.with the shelf- would you seal that also? So that it’s easier to wipe down from dust?
