I tried putting clay maché on exposed cardboard edges. That did not turn out well. The outer layer of carboard delaminated. Definitely seal edges. In fact, you might do well to seal the entire surface before putting wet clay on it.
Paper machete is the perfect material! It’s light and it can be molded! Good job! Also I got Ana Luisa for my sister for Christmas and a pair for myself😆
Can you possibly try the Anthropologie Selena Lamp Shade? I think it would prob be easy to recreate and be able to also customize- for less than $98+ 😁
Have you seen (LoneFox/ XO Mackenna) rub dirt on their cement/baking soda paint projects? 🤣 I was a bit skeptical- cause, you know, mud - but it adds a lot of depth and texture with the colour and whatnot 😅
Ok this was like the perfect decor dupe diy for me haha 😍 I redid our powder room in August and have the EXACT same builder grade mirror that we took off and replaced with a gorgeous brass one. I’ve kept the old one not knowing how to upgrade it so this is literally what I needed to get inspo! Thanks Tina for always sharing ur amazing ideas 🙌🏼

That lamp looked awesome. I want to do this!! But I’ll paint it black and use diluted white paint wash and dab on like the high end. Did NOT know you could use clear mod Podge and sprinkle cement, this is life changing. Thanks for sharing! (That mirror was cool too)
