The tg lock dont matter since you can quick synchro and tgs actually do have good main deck monsters look at screw serpent , tank grub , zombie and drill
And you can even play a small ddd engine with kepler and lamia since you only need to summon might striker to make a decent board

The issue with those cards is they don’t do anything on their own. Which synchro decks generally suffer from I understand, but if you don’t have setup for screw serpent, it’s dead, if you just have tank grub, it’s dead, if you don’t have another TG for the other 2 they’re dead.
If those are the best options, it’s clear that the main deck TG’s are really quite bad.
By far Diabellestar and Snake-Eye support will be the enablers for this to be viable as Rocket Salamander fits their criteria.
Cards to look out for with T.G.:
Bonfire
Diabellestar
The Original Tainted Treasure - Snake-Eye
And you could consider the level 1 snake-eyes
The line by which you’d access it is:
A.) Diabellestar Send 1, eff to add original tainted treasure.
B.) Original tainted treasure send Diabellestar, summon Snake-Eye Excel. Excel eff add Rocket Salamander
C.) Normal Rocket Salamander, eff T.G. R.S. Special Summon tank grub, synch into Mighty Striker add all clear, special token.
D.) all clear destroy Mighty Striker add Screw Serpent, mighty striker send close, extra normal screw serpent, eff to summon back mighty striker
E.) screw serpent and token into over dragner, over dragner summon back screw serpent, rocket salamander, tank grub
F.) Make hyper-librarian with serpent and grub
G.) Rocket Salamander bring back tank grub
H.) synch rocket salamander and grub into recipro dragonfly, draw 1
I.) synch mighty striker, hyper librarian, and over-dragner into Glaive blaster
J.) glaive blaster banish recipro dragonfly, close effect to set itself, glaive blaster effect to summon recipro dragonfly.
Optional K.) recipro butterfly send glaive blaster, summon mats back, go into halberd cannon.
Any interruption breaks this, but it is a 1.5 card combo.
There are SO many ways to use mighty Striker and Dragner, you can create pretty much your heart's desires across the TG spectrum.
My problem with the recent legacy support, that they seem to either only add maindeck stuff, or extra deck stuff. But its realy rare for an archatype to get both. So you either get crazy consistency but no payoff, or broken endboard, but you cant make it in 80% of your games.
That how I feel about elemental heroes. Konami refused to give them a batch of new fusions with modern effects. We get one good fusion every few years. And they still expect us to use old Omni heroes and jadens anime fusions.

If you’re insane enough to use TG Recipro Dragonfly, you could potentially use TG Glaive Blaster’s effect twice in a turn
Locking into t.g. is a good thing. Makes it more balanced. Macking archetypal cards generic makes them busted and bannable (verte,halq)
They can also synchro during the opponent's turn (when you aren't locked), so it's even more reasonable.
The Spell search Card for 2 is a One Card Combo to End on both Lv 12 and the Counter Trap.
I say with all due respect these cards are fantastic and the 1 and 2 card combos are really good. This plus savage strike stuff along with a small engine is really good
Tank grub, screw serpent are not bad at all they are very very good
Tg now have a 1 card combo that allows them to summon king calamity

I'm glad it is vulnerable to nib. It is unfortunately that calamity has been a focus among both of the recent synchro support. Can't blame people since it is available, but it is just the new scythe, but way less rampant

considering this is happening with Hyper Librarian on field, this is kinda crazy
Ignoring King Calamity shenanigans you can make a generic synchro combo board T1 and end on the new level 2 and any level 3 and on opponent's turn quick synch into the 5, bring back the 2 and a librarian and then quick synch again (not OPT) for the new 12. Also the 12 has utility with like Baronne where you can just banish your own spent Baronne and get another negate.

This and the RDA stuff and the 5D's bros are so back and eating good.
Konami carefully chose either Circular, Soul Charge, or Link-1 to fix their bad deck.
the pyro rota is lvl 4 only as far as I know

And you forgor Snake-Eyes supports, you basically make on the field the lv 1 without normal summon.
This support is amazing. Gives the deck new power plays, more consistency and a better main deck monster to run alongside its already playable line up. I'm extatic about this stuff. This is perfect legacy support. It's much better than before and is a pretty fun rouge deck. I truly don't care about taking my fan favorites and making them meta because the meta is terrible. Filled with so much oppressive bs that ruins games and limits card design I'm happy they just focused on making T.G Better and not actually meta so I wouldn't have to hate them or worry about them getting banned. Just going to be super fun to run. Like honestly I can imagine what a competitively viable t.g deck would be by just changing a few of these cards and I'm disgusted. Hate meta card design for 80% of the meta decks but love this. Wish the Salamangreat cards where this good but ig that deck doesn't need as much help.
I hope we get at least 1 new main deck monster, we really need it.
About the previous high level TG synchros, I’d say their main failing is their negate being a “when” effect that will never ever time properly.
Almost like these miss-timing rules shouldn’t exist and just make certain cards worthless.
Timing rules are necessary to prevent negates from being completely busted. They can (generally) only respond to the latest effect on the chain because of timing. Imagine if you could Solemn Strike or Judgment against any part of the chain.
@@Psynapseful that aspect of timing is fine. Chains are fantastic. The problem is the massive difference in applicability between “when” and “If” effects. If they were treated the same, the game would be easier to understand, and some cards wouldn’t be flat out unusable
I'm running them with a small superheavy engine and also testing revolution synchron in it as well
I feel like most synchro strategies outside of like Mannadium (takes too much engine) will default to running a super small superheavy engine. The POTENTIAL for a level 8 synchro without a normal summon and set scales for "free" is really hard to pass up.

Generic level 5 synchro with no summon restriction that draws when it gets popped, regardless of who does it...with no once per turn. Nope, can't see any way to abuse that.

being generic only helps the archetype because its busted effect only revives T.G. monsters and lock you into T.G.s, meaning that even if you somehow manage to "abuse" this card in other decks you still get what the card is supposed to do. Except for King Calamity, that card should have been banned at least 1 year ago

Tg does have an ftk if that means anything. It's not even that hard to set up.
Even without an "actual" FTK you end on the soul charge monster, the level 2, and wonder magician and on opponent's turn you make King Calamity because for some insane reason they made the new level 5 a dark dragon.
