Please tell me sir for what reason have you put there the condenser and the choke? What are them doing inside that circuit? Season greetings from YO2MPL 73 s sir!
Seasons greetings to you Sir. The choke is a 9:1 ratio impedance transformer it can bring an antenna feedpoint impedance down to within the range of a manual or auto-tuner. The capacitor can help with lightning protection and also makes the antenna look a bit shorter without having to lower the wire antenna down and physically trimming it. 73.
It would work as an aid to impedance matching , probably towards the higher end of the band. Don't know if that was the original intent but it would be interesting on how he arrived at the inductance and capacitance values . Also I like the capacitor , where did you purchase it ?
No, it doesn't. I listened around 18:40 and there was someone calling CQ contest on 7.113. I called you a few times between 18:45 and 19:00 but heard nothing. I also called a few times between 15:30 and 16:00 and heard nothing. I was out of the house between times.
VK6CS On and off for about 30 minutes from 1700-1800 WA time. Quite a long QSO with a few breaks for other traffic. About 1 hour we talked on and off. He does well with Clansman and 25 watts.
A very neat piece of construction,it's all about experimentation, feel proud and well done,Colin G1PGI
Thanks for the comment Colin.

I called and called and called.
I spoke to VK6OP quite well.
HE got through with 25 watts and a tuning fork.
World Wide contest doesn't help.

Great video. Nice box.
VK6CS Thanks for trying.
the QRM was out of this world due to the World Wide DX 48 hour comp
No worries, it would have been good to get a QSO with you. What time did you speak to OP?
