They can't even get the descriptions accurate on their site when you order and receive its a different size or not accurately described as professional repairs under arm until shipping invoice discloses. What a joke of a company you call great and I once used to.

The outdoor clothing industry’s manta for recycle, reuse and repair is slowly trickling down to other brands and into high street fashion. Almost everyone is using some form of recycled material now and I really think it’s here to stay. Well done guys!

Well made video, but it didn't answer the most important question: Do you redo the DWR coating and/or replace GoreTex? The waterproofing is the main reason I buy a new jacket, so buying a used jacket with messed up waterproofing wouldn't be worth nearly the still-high prices you have ReGear listed at.
The ReGear site doesn't list the type of return or condition of the return. There's a big difference between a returned new (ex, due to fit) vs warranty return. If it's been worn a while, in my experience the DWR is deteriorated (and at-home re-DWR treatments never get it back to like new) and the often the wearer has wrecked it with improper washing/care.

Got my jacket back after 6 weeks unrepaired. They stated the jacket was delaminating and beyond repair. Now what does that say a) about the Quality of the jacket and b) about the repair skills.. I had to fix the jacket myself and will never buy a higher Priced item from them ever again

The jacket is not a severe environment piece of gear due to the design of the hood. Unless the hood provides coverage above the lower portion of a person's nose the hood prevents the warm moisture exiting the nose to warm the face. It should as well provide complete coverage for goggles. Additionally under severe conditions nose frostbite is a potential by not providing first level nose protection that a hooded jacket should provide.

I wish this was true, but it is not, they are lying to us. I have a freeride jacket that I've taken care of like a baby, the skirt that prevents the powder from going up the jacket got unglued this last season (and so did other seams). I sent it for repair (paying) and they just said that the jacket is too old (5 years) and therefore it cannot be repaired. First, it is a testiment of the low quality, then, it is a testiment of the null commitment of this brand to sustainability.

  • @dwydwy6723

Arc'teryx issued this reply in regards to my jacket submitted for repair earlier this year. It had two notable rips, one that I had already repaired with Tenacious tape and submitted photos of.
"Based on what we’ve seen, this may be repairable however due to For small rips like this, we recommend a product called Tenacious Tape. Once applied, it should restore the area to its normal state. "
Not only will Arc'teryx not be repairing your products in their magical facility in this video, they will not be backing up their products in any way. My jacket is unusable after 2 years of normal wear. I will never be purchasing from this company again, and recommend you all follow suit.

I ordered a Cerium jacket used obviously great condition says on website then when they ship it I notice on the shipping invoice it states professionally repaired under arms. What you didn't disclose that before the sale. Then a pair of Gamma pants XL easy enough I own others and arrive as XL TG meaning tall so they don't fit. Hassles and a disgrace honestly for what used to be a quality company!

Way to expensive for refurbished products….
This is not a product or item that ever goes up in value. It’s not some vintage Gucci item, I t’s a consumable item. So it is a product that has been used and possibly damaged and repaired….and you are asking 60%-70% of full retail……..not the best idea. Cars hold less value over time.
This won’t work unless you make it worth it…….
