@@KuostA thank you sir! I can’t give enough credit to everyone who works there, my car was inspired by the many cars that they have built years before my car was put together like this. Their s2000’s and r35 gtr. I did drop the car off to evasive motorsports, however, not just all in one go. It took a lot of time over the course of many years. Both of us were warming up to the car, to the track, before we could really set some good laps. The car was not optimally set up for Sonoma, as it was set up for a little bit of oversteer. Also, later in the day, the transmission gave out after years of track use and that ended up cutting our day short right when I was getting acclimated to the car’s behavior/limits at Sonoma. So no fast lap times to write home about that weekend :(. The car has more potential in it than the opportunity we had to get there that weekend.

Owned both, I actually prefer the handling characteristics of my NA6 vs my old AP1 but obviously one car had a much higher start point as well as ceiling. F20C can easily hold 400-500whp without doing anything but valvetrain work. Extremely capable engines, quite literally the 2JZ of the 4 banger world when it comes to being over engineered. And yet, nothing I would want more than F20C or F22C1 in my Miata lol match made in heaven if steering geometry didn’t have to be altered so K it is. MX-5 is more friendly at the limit 😅
when I owned my S2000 the first time it was an 02, had a precision 5858bb turbo on it and made about 430whp. Its was the most insane things I've driven because of the instant spool and lightweight. It was great but I really enjoyed the car so much more with stock power. But I never had an issue.
@@RichJ_youtube way more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow. I have a GT4 so similar power, not too much heavier and more torque. Feels like the perfect balance. With the s2000 I think a 300whp supercharged kit would have been the way to go
All in the suspension and footwork! The WiseFab Grip Kit for the S2000 is pricey but works well with the MCS coilovers and Yoko A052 tires. I noticed how planted the car was in corners and no sawing at the steering wheel. I’d bet this S2000 would be relatively quick around Sonoma with an N/A engine.
That was sick! Maybe it was the engine noise, or maybe it was some of the other cars on track with you; but this video was a really fun one and really conveyed how nutso that thing must be to pilot. Thanks for sharing!
What a car! Love the sound! Giant slaying speed. Looks a real hard challenge to master but you would never get tired of driving and pushing this car! Fantastic. Excellent video too Fenton, the most enjoyable track vid I've seen perhaps, amazing footage showing the action perfectly, all your inputs, the sound, the captions! I Lol'd when you said you were going for a hotlap and immediately the first 3rd gear right hander pushed the rear out a touch! Thank for bringing us along for the ride!
Definitely a beast. The car has attitude, but honestly isn’t that hard on the driver. She’s setup well, and can be smooth, and even easy to control. Forgiving, in the right hands I can’t imagine how fast she can go. The car works with the driver, it’s just setup well.
Humbling mustang owners about their choice of purchase since 2013 🤘😂 keep doing your thing man! I wonder how comparable this would be to a gen 1 brz given the same mods (my current dd)
I agree. The sos kit just works on track. It’s laggy but not laggy to where you aren’t on boost when you need to be on boost. Just laggy enough to go flat mid corner prior to corner exit and when you are opening up the wheel boost comes on and you rocket on out
It’s definitely a bona fide weapon. Purpose built, fast, and reactive, razor sharp and all the feedback. Needs a sequential, and up the boost. Eats gt3’s on track all day, any time, any place. I thought of selling it, but now, I am having second thoughts on that.
would love to know more on your opinions on the wisefab. does it make a noticeable difference? it seems you notice the under steer or mention a little less feel and when driving a car thats been equip with it. ty
The car feels stable, planted, it’s kind of hard to describe but you don’t feel any play. Not that there is much play in a built Honda s2000, but yeah basically no room for slop in suspension bushings since they are sphericals. Kind of feels weird with the wisefab kit but I wouldn’t have it any other way if you are chasing lap times.
You can make it work, just need to find the right wheel and offset to make it happen. Your over fenders should help you out. I know Urge designs makes some 18x10.5 and 18x11 wheels that’ll fit the s2000 so you can run 285-295. Although, 265 all the way around on a052’s is a sweet spot even on this car. I wouldn’t go more than a 265f on the s2000. 265f/295r would be very stable and fast.
Steering wheel was still pretty dead even with wisefab kit? I thought they were aluminum with spherical bushings and they help tremendously with steering feel?
Yeah it does brotha, it actually works well! The car needs more aggressive pads for sure, I thought endless me20’s would be enough, but no, the car needs more aggressive pads. It’s almost as if the car is asking for more aggressive pads, there is enough grip to just stand on the brakes as late as possible, the only setback is the brake pads themselves. Everything else is there.
Yes that’s correct. The car is maintained fanatically but also driven the way it should be. Not locked up in a garage, not even driven on city street. Track use only, although street legal with tags, reg and insurance. Sequential has always been in this car’s destiny, it may happen.
Epic driving Fenton 🤘I wish we had a second day with it to test out 265’s in the front for sharper steering feel.
Fantastic car man. Great job on the build. What a machine!
incredible build! so u just dropped it off at Evasive and got it back as such? how was fenton's PB vs yours?

Miata owners dead silent in chat. This gave me goosebumps. Destroying GT cars with ease. There is nothing like a S2K.

Time for Fenton to build an s2k with forced induction. The s2k is in your blood! Do it!

Such a cool car. I think I'd rather have this over the C6Z you drove. Both are awesome cars.
Evasive doesn’t miss. My favorite featured build yet
Every second counts. They know how to build fast cars reliably.
This video makes me want to build a turbo S2K
What a car
What a beast of a car and nice driving Fenton! 👏🏻

I've been telling myself I want to keep my track s2k NA....watching this video may end up costing me a lot of money haha.
Na is amazing too, special kind of vibes right there. Dare I say, all the reliability? Nothing like ITB’s on a f20c rippin down the track
Lucky you for driving such a beast of a s2k! Pretty much time attack build other than maybe less serious hardcore aero. ❤🎉👍
Was that Yunni's Car Stuff at 13:20 ? 😂
Anyways, would love to see more boosted s2000 on the channel.
based off the videos you post, no surprises you'd notice and know that.
Nice driving Fenton!😊
Nice piloting! I was immersed into the whole video🔥
I was also running my K20 eg with lightspeed this same day.
Wow pfeeew.! That was some good driving and what a car! Just beautiful ❤
That f350 was really fast too!shout out to him👍🏻

The sos kit is made for midrange so its perfect on the track. You definitely can stick with that gt350 but after 120 its a losing battle

This car is diabolical. Remove ABS and put a sequential system to change gear faster

Spooli boi is a thing? Oh boi 🙃
Which car do you prefer more? Turbo F20c AP1 or Supercharged F22c AP2?
A052’s fit wider than the size marked & have numb mid corner feel
@zygrene, can you comment on the EVS door cards? Seems to give a good 1-2" more room in the footwell and door panel
You do get more legroom. And it feels kind of cool having carbon door cards and the door pulls
