I am the luckiest 78 year old new to RC. My next door neighbor and young guy ( 41 ) had a brushless 2S set up with a Li-po 5,000 ma battery that he wasn't using and he installed in my Arrma Senton short track truck and even soldered up the battery leads to match my charger witch has a Li-po mode. How cool is that. This is a great hobby, just found your channel, nice video.

Dude??? so im kinda new to the hobby. sorta. I'm kinda a Arrma fan. i have the 6S and the 8S Kratons and a 6S Outcast. (well couple Maxx's and Redcats.) with decades of motocross. I wanted to get something different. So i went and bought and put together a Ryft kit. Gray w/o electronics. I dyed the gray to a Royal Blue. i tossed in a couple electrics to make it work. not so great. I had no idea there was so much into aftermarket parts and upgrade for the Ryft. So i have a spare 2300kv from a Maxx (no ESC) My question is could i get away with buying a 130amp ESC spectrum and run the maxx motor (mini maxx 4S). and not burn anything up or catch fire??? lol i want to slowly add aftermarket parts but have to go inexpensive. im ordering a receiver (3 channel) so i can use my DX5C today. Will it get me by for a while or would it just be a flop and later having to buy something else. im trying to catch up on your videos for info Thanks for your videos and lots of help. keep em coming.
those wheels look great with those tires mated up! do you have a video showing the steering upgrades you did with affiliate links? i'm interested in that servo and horn and drag link set up for mine... still waiting on all the rest of the vitavon rolling chassis to get here. great videos, you are my go to channel for info, thanks!

LMAO Dude - that save @9:22 was re-F'ing-diculous. The 'no-swaybar' test was really interesting, I really appreciate you doing it since it's something I've been thinking and wondering about. It looks like it's almost too much suspension movement in the rear now, or at least 'too floppy' and uncontrolled. Maybe some shock/spring tuning would make it behave a little better in that configuration? And obviously - more appropriate 'crawler' tires. I'm a little torn on adding portals, only to then gear back up with a bigger pinion. Seems like it kind of defeats the purpose.
Well, these portals are for the guys who really want to crawl the Ryft, Once I get all my parts in, these portals are coming off and going into the new build.
Very nice run Joe, those tyres are awesome. I recently bought a set of Proline Badland tyres for my desert buggy and i'm amazed how good they are. Do you think i should tape the holes to stop them venting though? I run it mostly off road in dusty conditions. Thanks in advance.
I just built a ryft. I want to set it up to be more of a crawler/trail runner. I put a hobby wing 2 in 1 motor with a 3mm output shaft. I ordered an axial 32 pitch for the 3 mm output shaft in the gears are not right do you know what pitch would line up to the spur gear with a 3 mm bore output
Yeah buddy I wish axial would fix that. It’s not 32p it’s Mod1. You need another new pinion gear. 13t Mod1 is the smallest you can use in the Ryft. Most mod1 pinions have a 5mm bore so you’ll need the little adapter to make it fit on a 3mm shaft motor.
The ryft in my book is more of a basher than a crawler everybody I heard from really don't know what it is it's not the greatest at crawling it's not the greatest of bashing that is more fun bashing than it is crawling LOL

I think your Ryft would look better if you dyed the cage. That orange just doesn't look great with all the aluminum. It's the best Ryft ever anyway though.

To many broken parts, to much down time waiting on parts, to expensive to start with only to have to dump as much as you do to “fix” it. I refuse to spend as much as the manufacturers are asking only to spend more than the kit price to “fix” it.

These raw500’s have a really strong geartrain. I’ve broken several horns but never the servo.

I’ve been thinking of getting the kit white cage for it. Then dye it orange. LoL nah. I haven’t dyed anything in a lot of years.
IMO the. Ryft is the biggest flop in recent RC releases that I can remember. That’s saying a lot with as many bombs as Horizon has released.
