Looks way smoother than the axe!! UNBELIEVABLY! I finally got some run time today with the 20mil diff fluid ,3 shims in f/center diff, and the now locked rear!! Man way smoother and stable over stock at speed! No more stripping, clicking in front diff internals!!! Also first run with the new HW xerun xr8 sct pro with the g2 3660 3200 kv sensored motor with a 13t!! Man it was impressive and low speed was killer, still not crawler slow but close and VERY SMOOTH, and QUITE!!! Still ripped on 3s!!! 4s would be unreal!!! Can’t wait for 2 speed low gear set to show up n then gear up a tooth or so if I wanted more speed on 3s!!!!Loving the ryft!!!! Keep the vids coming EXO!!!
I like to do a limiting strap on my passenger side rear to limit torque twist when it's bad. I guess if you have ocd you would need to put on both sides lol but I run just one on the right rear I really keeps the torque twist under control
Nice video! My MambaX/Slate2200kv are in the mail. I put my stock bomber v1 tires with metal beadlocks and hubweights on the Ryft's stock powerplant and it was incredibly better. I think the stock tires "bite" too much on the slightest lean cause it to corkscrew flatland no rocks. I'm swapping the stock fuel cell for something custom and discovered the entire REAR CAGE is one-piece so the Bomber wins in the Cage Quality Dept for sure.
Awesome! Have you considered or tried going with a dual rear shock setup? On my Bomber I used a cheap no-name set of shocks from Amazon, filled with 15W oil and removed the springs. It took out about 90% of the torque twist that I was getting on launches and was able to corner much harder before flipping. Probably would need heavier oil for the RYFT. Took the idea from the full-size Pre-Runner trucks. I have the comparison videos somewhere. The torque twist had to go but I didn't want to lose my flex for crawling. I didn't lose any flex at all.

i got the ryft last week already broke the front axle. jump one foot in the air and came in a little sideways and rolled ways on all 4 with a broke axle l. it’s the steering lock, the knuckle hit the axles and the steering link hits the dif causing a extreme weak point in the axle
HW is known for being soft on punch. Holmes Hobbies did a video comparing the Axe vs Castle setups. Castle is known for giving so much punch that it can fry their speed controllers into a fireball. HW restricts rpm and current to protect it.
Mamba monster x can easily flow 150amps it’s a beast. Have you ever ran his 4274 1/8 scale motor I want one it would be insane in my mt410. The hw axe esc is current limited to 60amps. :) there is no current limit on castle products unlike hw which make them more durable and longer lasting

I was wondering if I paired the new Holmes puller pro R 540 L 2100kv with a more affordable castle copperhead it would give the same or similar performance as your Ryft?
I was wondering about why all the upgrades,by the guy who after only one run upgraded the steering servo, aluminum suspension links, and RC4WD 2 speed transmission in his Axial Wraith Spawn, then I remembered all the aforementioned stuff. Sometimes we can't just leave well enough alone which is what the hobby is all about. LOL

That motor combo seems to be plenty beefy. On 4s an ar60 rig would be in danger as well. Begging for something to break. my best luck was on a 4700kv sw4 on 2s. Still wheelies, plenty of speed. And not breaking as much stuff
Exo…need your opinion! I’m running a Holmes puller pro r 540l v2 2700kv with 16t pinion and a 1/10 mamba x, and on 4s lihv 100c I’m getting the excessive load warning chimes at times. Never does it on 3s batteries. Love the wheel speed at times on 4 s and 3s perfect for trailing. Not sure if I need to bump up to monster x?? Any input would be helpful
Was this all in low gear with the two speed trans I just got my kit trying to find the perfect setup for crawler and hill climbing not really rock bouncing as much but some fun for sure. So mamba x esc and this motor with my two speed kit you still feel this would be the ticket ticket
Basically what would you put in a brand new kit for trailing hill climbs not much rock bouncing ecxept up hills but probably some crawling as we but not as much i have trucks for that
Not really fair to compare this setup on the rocks when the axe system was geared much lower. Put the smaller pinion back on and then you get apples to apples. just sayin.
If anyone wants more low speed control, the Puller Pro 540 L is more buttery and has very similar power levels.

I just put the Puller pro 540 L 2700kv in mine and what an amazing motor! So smooth!
The 2speed transmission option will make this a great crawler and basher! And the swaybars will probably help a lot too

For the esc I use some double sided tape the stuff to hold picture frames up works wonders and you don’t have to wait to let it dry
yeah the VXB I think its called, this was a seriously hard hit I'm surprised it came loose.
Looks like it crawls better with that system over the Axe. I think it worked out well.

You can set the boot up time with Castle Link to use any remote/reciver you like. just noticed that last night fittling around in castle link.

Been seeing people saying that the spur/pinion is actually mod 1. For some reason the manual says 32p
its certainly not 32p, not even close, one guy told me its mod 1.2 which is why none of my other mod1 pinions run it without being loud.

put a little bit of swimmers wax in your differentials and that front tire will quit lifting it will not hurt your car I've done it

Broke an Axle on a end over end tumble all wheels contact. 4S @75% on turf, came over a rise let off gas, Tumbled. ? Drag Brake ?

I'd use low gear for that unless there is a huge gap to clear.
So you think mamba x with the holms and same kv as yours in video would be the best of both worlds

What is max can length for the ryft? I want to put a 1415 castle in it but don't look like it will fit a 70mm motor
Stock motor is 60mm long with about 4 to 5 mm to spare .

it may be a larger can size but its still unsensored so it would cog like crazy just like the stock system. Torque does not mean low speed control

Add a Kratos 6 to it and it would solve the slow crawling issues.
I have a kratos Six 3800kv in my Tekno CR410 and it runs great.
But the crawling issue is gearing.
Just busted the front axil today nothing crazy happened just very poor quality

The axe just wasn’t right for this vehicle and this crawled better with faster gearing.
I'd say fair, the HW setup had a gear closer to crawling. The castle/HH setup was at a disadvantage
