This time the song was TIME: CLOCK OF THE HEART, after hearing it once I was hooked (almost like a drug) all over again, I started listening to CULTURE CLUB, EXCLUSIVELY at home (and in my car after my new CD copies of the first 2 CULTURE CLUB albums arrived). ❤I literally went "down the rabbit hole" with CULTURE CLUB (also just finishing your first book--a masterpiece!--with the second on order). While NOTHING can undo my love of your 80's voice (I'm still ordering MORE of CULTURE CLUB'S early stuff on CD), this is a WELL DONE remake of one of my favorite songs, making GOOD use of your new, deeper voice! 💋

God!!! 40 years have passed!!!!! I was 15 then, growing up in Greece, a country trying to leave it's bitter past behind and enter the west world. I remember when i first saw George in the Do You Really.... video clip at the one and only pop music tv show called Musicorama, broadcasted once every two weeks and i was shocked!!!!. Yannis Petridis the Greek John Peel gave alot of air time to Culture Club and they became popular. I had the chance to see them live at the first major concert in my hometown Atnens, the 1985 2 days event Rock In Athens. The Cure, Depeche Mode, The Clash, The Stranglers played among others, but the talk of the day were CC and not for a good reason. My clueless fellow Greeks intrigued by George's appearence started to throw rocks at hm and the band. I felt so ashamed!!! I was so much into the post punk genre then, i concidered CC as just a pop group. Growing up and getting to know other music genres, i can now appreciate their greatness. George is a musical genius, Bowie level, a white English kid with the heart of a Motown black. Hearing of his troubled past and seeing him doing good lately makes me happy!!! Keep on creating Boy, i wish more boys would b like u!!! PS : Time, Church and Victims my top 3 CC songs!!!
