@String. I love both Time and the Karma song. Have whatever opinion you like, but both singles were released fairly. And Karma was their biggest one and there was a reason behind it. Again I love a Time, but Karma and Do You really are still highly covered today by younger generations which means the songs have not aged. Just watch The Voice. I haven’t heard anyone cover Time yet. Though I’d love to.

I'm an old country boy and Culture Club was the shit when I was in high school and not ashamed to admit I wore this cassette out and had this blasting on my truck stereo back in the day!!! No denying his great voice!!
This song gives me the chills...It takes me back to my childhood in White Plains, NY. It’s true as we get older “TIME” becomes so valuable because we realize we don’t know how much we have left and we can’t get back what we spent. If only I could go back.
This song gives me goosebumps every time...I FEEL THIS SONG!! and Culture Club had a very talented lead singer..BOY GEORGE was very talented and creative!! His music is entertaining!! I LOVE IT!!
1980-85 was an incredible era for pop/rock music, so many great artists and so much variety. I feel very lucky to have been able to enjoy it all in real time. Culture Club were one of the best too.
This decade was simply magical. The talent of artist was non stop and the hits kept coming across all genres. With the second British invasion of music, I made several trips to England per year. Boy George, etc along with MTV and VH1 music videos changed a industry and molded my life for the rest of my life. I am so thankful for this decade in my life. I am very fond of the 70s as a kid. The 80s, were very fondly remembered as my generations decade. I would not change a thing.
I thought the entire 80's decade was great but 1985 was my fav year of the Big 80's. Phil Collins, Sting, Dire Straits, Tears for Fears, Simple Minds, Whitney Houston, Scritti Politti & The Power Station all had monster albums that year. There were also many other amazing albums as well.
I don't know about the best lyricist because I haven't heard all of his musics however, the line that says "time won't give me time" is powerful if you think about it. We are moving through time and time just won't allow us to do everything we would like to do. Just not enough time
I was a kid when this came out. I'm 48 now, this song hits WAYYYYYY different now and I'm playing it more than ever now. Thanks Culture Club for this timeless (see what I did there?) classic

No one did care because they had no agenda. Though he did confuse a lot of people. I'm straight but loved a lot of his music. It also helped a lot of girls did to. He never tried to force his sexuality on me even his music could be for both straight or gay relationships. Its only the Lgbqt movement and there agenda that makes me anti Lgbqt.
Listening to this now, 35 years later, makes me appreciate how good Georges melodys were. Its still a well structured song. Brings back memorys of an innocent era, when life was simple and carefree. What id give to go back and relive my teens through the 80s again.

one of the most heartbreakingly beautiful pop songs ever written
This was written about George and Mikey break up.
@@staceythompson2230 Mikey Craig isn't gay. George was dating Jon. Jon is Bi.
Im a black women and let me say this this group will never get old to me i bought every album every cd it was and if there is a concert i will be there front and center....
You have great taste in music.
:-)
Why black had to be mentioned? Seriously people.
Because not all group are able to attract different cultures and races thats why
I'am 56 years the 80 s music was truelly great the 80s R&B music was great but those British groups gave them a run for their money.

80s music had no boundaries
40年前の楽曲だが、今でも色褪せない👍👍
本当に… That’s true ❤
This is my favorite Boy George and the Culture Club song. Speaking of time, where did 40 years go? 😞
omg yes where in the hell did it go? omg ..this is my fav too from them
this is my fav too.
He was in love when he wrote it
Where indeed?
Damn, It's true. I wouldn't have believed if I wouldn't have searched on Google. 40 years!
Boy George was ahead of his time back in 1983 !
He's An Incredibly Talented Musician.
Lucky 80s kids! I was born in 91😑
Timelessness
Paul Behr
David Bowie and Pete Burns where ahead of its time, not Boy George.
@@FrankKnight8846 I give everyone equal credit for being ahead of their time. There's more than one person that was born ahead of time.
@@FrankKnight8846 Paul is talking about the girly literal style of Boy George, he was ahead of the time, and even with the AIDS homophobic period Boy George and a lot of 80's gay bands and artists managed to be idols and succesful
The best song that Culture Club ever did. Enough Said
This and 'Church of the Poison Mind"
It’s rather beautiful
Time > Karma Chameleon
@@GoldenAgeSk8Video Absolutely. This song hasn’t aged a day but Karma is kinda cheesy now to me even though it’s such a classic.
He had one the most beautiful singing voices I've heard
My favourite culture club song ❤ What a voice.

This song has aged so well. Such a soulful, feelgood song. Takes me to happy times as a kid in the 80s
Agreed.
All l knew was Culture Club is underrated & very talented❤
Such an underrated song and miss these days when music had good lyrics and just made people feel good. The 80's & 90's were a blast!
J.S. It's not underrated. No 2 in America. It also has other accolades and is regarded by many as Culture Club's most enduring song.

Boy George is a legend.

@cloudzinmyize He has a David Bowie style about him, that's for sure.
He was influenced by bowie, as so many others were!

This song gives me the chills...It takes me back to my childhood in White Plains, NY. It’s true as we get older “TIME” becomes so valuable because we realize we don’t know how much we have left and we can’t get back what we spent. If only I could go back.
Yup chills
I've been to White Plains, nice city.

This is when music was about the music. Absolute classic that will stand the test of time. It’s always on at my house party’s. 80s rock 👍🏻

The classical music gives me feeling of a James Bond theme
this is one of the coolist song of all times ,i dont care what he was
Say what you will about the Club (and many have), but these are still very good songs that have held up quite well nearly 35 years on.
You are so right. Good music doesn't have an expiration date.

I'm 52 and one of my favorite CC songs. George came to us as a surprise in 82-83 with his appearance but we got over it cause the man could sing.
I agree. Now that I'm in my 50's, the lyrics of this song has deeper meaning.
spot on tim. boy was absolutely amazing. did a lot at 21. as long as u jam, I don't care about nothing else.
yes he could sing ah the 80's good times

One of the best groups of the 1980's!!
Who's listening in Early 2021 missing the 80's...much better "time" back then!!!!
I was 11 when this song came out. The 80's was TRULY the BEST decade to grow up in.
It was a truly happy 'time' back then, never had a better decade than the 80's and the music therein.
Better music
I was 14. Great memories
Entered the 80’s aged 18 ..... great decade , from what I remember 🙈
Early 80's pop music was the best. Culture Club's songs still hold up and sound just as fresh 30 years later.
This is a fantastic song, possibly his best work.
This was beautiful. I thought it at the time and i think it 40 years on
Culture Club made some nice tracks. This is their best one
Yes it is William .... yes it is INDEED!!!
William Crew i agree
Yaaas
Damn straight!!! After '86, everything started going sideways when George and John started falling out...
Church of the Poison Mind is one of their bests. Change my mind.
83 to 85 were the optimum years of the 80's
I thought the entire 80's decade was great but 1985 was my fav year of the Big 80's. Phil Collins, Sting, Dire Straits, Tears for Fears, Simple Minds, Whitney Houston, Scritti Politti & The Power Station all had monster albums that year. There were also many other amazing albums as well.
Shane Anthony good
Shane Anthony i was s teenager during those years
Boy George is one of the best lyricist in music. Pure rhyme and poetry..
You ain't never lied!
I don't know about the best lyricist because I haven't heard all of his musics however, the line that says "time won't give me time" is powerful if you think about it. We are moving through time and time just won't allow us to do everything we would like to do. Just not enough time
Every time I hear this song Take me back to the 1980
I was a kid when this came out. I'm 48 now, this song hits WAYYYYYY different now and I'm playing it more than ever now. Thanks Culture Club for this timeless (see what I did there?) classic

That's WOT it's all about, MUSIC! 🤩
@@christopherlong932 Never forget satan was a master musician in heaven before he fell. Music can move your soul.It can also help destroy it.

80s fashion, music and movies are often imitated but never duplicated. The secret recipe is confined to the decade.
