I love how they make the their movements the star of the show... and this time without any starts on the dial. Great job Zenith. I hope I own one someday. Thanks Evan!
I own this watch. Great everyday all arounder. I was concerned about the extreme taper to the bracelets but they are ridiculously comfortable. And I find this one more legible than the non skeleton versions. Also the 6 o’clock seconds hand is way better balanced to my eye than the standard models 9. So basically, everything stated in the video!
My favorite watch channel. Obviously very knowledgeable, but not pretentious. Mixes in the perfect amount of humor, and doesnt take himself or the watches too seriously
The temptation to keep swapping between the strap and bracelet is almost overwhelming and it highlights what an excellent job Zenith has done with the strap mechanism. Yes, it does rather limit your strap options to Zenith's own ridiculously expensive rubber bands, but as the supplied rubber strap and the bracelet are both exceptional, it's not a huge downer. Exceptionally entertaining as always Evan 🙌
The legibility alone is reason enough to love this piece. A quick time check on most Skeletor watches are a Beast….Man. Ok that was a reach, but still.
I've missed your videos! Been a subscriber for ages but stoopid TH-cam algo hasn't shown me any of your new content... Which is good and bad I guess as now you have made me want a Zenith! 😎🤪
I’ve been looking at this watch for a couple of years now. The skeleton is one of the best-executed on the market. It’s so cool. I know it will be on my wrist before long ….
This watch would be better if the seconds dial measured the standard 60 seconds. I get that the 10s dial is supposed to make a statement, but the skeleton's design already makes a very bold statement, and a 60s dial would have made this watch a lot more practical.
personally I liked the last iteration of the defy skeleton better, the 12 sided bezel just don't rustle my jimmies. But it's still a sick watch that I cant afford anyways
Your beats are dope. Also, I'm still waiting for that random somebody to ask about my watch 🤓I always wondered why I gravitated towards no date watches 🤣I agree the light blue escape wheel and balance fork is an exquisite touch. You hard work and effort really shows into how phenomenal your videos always come out to be! They always make my day 😁🥳
Very nice watch indeed. You should also try to do a review of the Oris Big Crown ProPilot X, in the skeleton watch department it is also quite something 😉
@@YoureTerrific you go alright Evan. I’ve messaged your wrist diameter against a standard length didgeridoo and it goes approximately 5.5928 times. Food for thought❤️
Can anyone explain to me why Zenith use Spanish words to name their watches? Does it have any ties to Mexico or something? I tried to look it up, but can't find anything about that.
Mexico isn’t the only country that speaks Spanish…. Spanish comes from Latin (Iberian Peninsula) to be extract. Your level of ignorance is astounding my friend. Salud 🥂!
I think it looks great on your wrist. Real shame about the lume though. You'd think for $11k, they would have given you grade A lume. Why must every brand short change their customers on piddly shit?
I love everything about this, except the second hand doing its rotation every 10 seconds. It bothers me! And I dont really know why, it just does. Maybe its the pointlessness of it. Still, I kinda want it…
My wrist is 1/565th of an American football field, so I guess I'm out. Great watch though. If I eat enough to get my wrist to sufficient size to wear this, I will have spent so much on food I will no longer be able to afford it. This watch caper is cruel sometimes.
Looks pretty cool but still way below my standards when it comes to readability. Zenith always seems to fall short in this regard. Putting silver hands on a silver-dialed watch, or in the example you showed white hands with a white watch. It's such a shame because there are a lot of Zenith watches I really like the look of but simply wouldn't buy due to the poor hand/dial contrast.
If your vision is that poor, you should probably lean towards a smartwatch. Seriously if it takes you more than a second to read the time on the Defy, you should save your money for Lasik
@@Doggo-frencton I own a dozen or so mechanical watches and none of them have this problem. Pretty sure a watch can be designed with excellent readability without a display/backlight.
I love that you are unapologetic about being American. I hate when Americans apologize for using imperial measurements. It's 7 inches and if you want centimeters, go figure it out yourself.
Too thick for a three hander! Ugly bezel, ugly bracelet and rubber strap with ugly extreme taper worse than Rolex! What is happening to the Swiss?! Are they smoking too much of something inside their design studios?!
The ceramic version is also amazing. Zenith hit a home run with this one.
Very curious about that one. I think it needs a skeleton dial.
it has, there is standard and also sceletonized dial version of ceramic defy@@YoureTerrific
@@witold543 @YoureTerrific did i just witness someone buy a new zenith in real time?
Yup. Zenith is on fire (figuratively)

The boutique edition with gold accents is a killer! Gonna be buying this.
I found this watch on the gray market, with the correct amount of discount, and I just had to buy it. I love it. Works on my 6.4” wrist. Great review.
So it’s not too big? Lug to lug ok? I have the same size wrist
How much?
A bit under $9k. I think it sits perfect on a 6.4” wrist.
“No date… reminds them of their social lives” 😂

i have got one of those too. I have never received so many compliments for a watch, ever

What a great package. It's a feast for the senses without feeling too over the top.
'this do, i are, i can...' pure gold
Hope we see a video from the ceramic Skeleton here soon! Love it.
Looks cool, the defy classic skeleton looks even better.
Yes in grade 5 titanium no less, along with the peripheral date wheel
Brilliant review…chuckling to the end
Agree!
Classic skeleton < Classic < skyline < skyline skeleton < night surfer LE.
I’m loling at your dry humor. “Normie”, “waiting to think I’m cool” haha. Subscribed

I would go hublot unico if looking for a skely
This is incredible, and I like it a lot. The only problem would be my OCD not knowing when a minute actually started with that seconds dial setup.
Same, I love everything about this except for the sub-seconds. I'd rather they get rid of it or find a way to have it make one rotation per minute.
Forget the watch. Let’s talk about that bright green sweatshirt, hello 1990! Great video (as always)!
High visibility. My wife makes me wear it so I can't sneak away during family events.
Usually not keen on skeletonized dials but as you say the legibility makes this far more desirable. $11k is painful though 😢
I have the standard Defy in blue, but that's very pretty!
I tried on a regular Skyline a few months ago and really liked it. This just ups ante. And will cause more useless thoughts.
Yep. That thing is beautiful and nearly perfect

Me too, and it was in grade5 titanium.
@@randmacct636 the ceramic versions were amazing too
i could not love this one more
"i don't love them, I like them.... but this i really like" lmao
The legibility is what sells this the most (to me). They nailed it.
Soul-looker! 😊
By the way, nice touch contrasting dark blue with bright green. I've always enjoyed your taste in colour. Colour is its own reward.
So many dudes are afraid of color. I suspect those are the same guys who are also frightened by small watches.
This watch is beautiful
Never liked skeleton watches in general but for some reason this strikes a balance and is very appealing
Does this watch have an adjustment on the bracelet? I know when you did the 41 non skeleton it didn't have one.
I still can’t get on with how the Skyline looks, the proportions of the Defy Classic are much nicer
Great looking watch, the only thing that bothers me is that it is relatively thick. 10mm would have been better.
You forgot to tell us how many of these it would take to fill an olympic size swimming pool but still a good video
Whats up with the faux pin buckle clasp? Why? Why?
I’m confused about your comment on the movement. In most other reviews it says it’s the 3620 SK movement? Could you please clarify?
Zenith is just such a W brand
Does this watch have any type of bracelet adjustments or half links?
What is ur wrist size? 👀👀
🏈📏
Skeleton and open heart dials aren’t something I typically find appealing. This is an exception.
Love it. Still considering selling my omega aqua terra day date for a zenith, wotta do ya think
I’m thinking the same with my white dial SMP 300
Blue or Black? Need some input
Love it! Great video
Do the ceramic next!

Zenith is a great brand, that's for sure. But the skeletal dial just screams cheap for some reason. Also, lack of lume? Zenith should do better.
Can anyone explain to me why Zenith use Spanish words to name their watches? Does it have any ties to Mexico or something? I tried to look it up, but can't find anything about that.

That’s debatable
I think it looks great on your wrist. Real shame about the lume though. You'd think for $11k, they would have given you grade A lume. Why must every brand short change their customers on piddly shit?
It's the same with "sports" watches three times this price from AP, Patek, VC. It's frustrating.
Would be great if they did a 38mm for all of us that have a wrist size between 1/188 and 1/161 of a basketball court…maths is hard!
i wish the all black version was in skeleton

Same. It’s a great looking watch but the fast seconds is so gimmicky and looks weird in action.
That 10-second subdial gives me anxiety

As you as you put it on the wrist (the bracelet version) it feels cheap and too light for a 10k watch
I love how the setting lever spring is visible through the dial side!
Yeah, why is it that nobody asks about my watches? It makes me want to break out my three-pronged pitchfork.

True patriot right here.

Great review, the watch is no my cup of tea as its impression is too busy for me.
beautiful watch, but the price is so ridiculous, doesn’t make sense.
Get Thee Behind Me, Normie. I is no.
I don't understand why Zenith's lume is so bad. It's unacceptable at this price point.
Easy to tell the time... To the closest minute. Seconds... Maybe, the first 10 of them, and their 10ths.
that second hand is just too gimmicky.
Probelm with this watch is I can’t time my swim or run.
It's a really really cool watch BUT too big for my chicken wrists and too expensive for the vast emptiness I call my wallet.

Long island watches.
The seconds hand is so whack. I wished it did a rotation in 60 seconds. Why so whack?!!
Nah…gimmick. It’s Jerry Jones Cowboy cheap with the star & dial.
