Question 1: One fluid ounce is 0,0295735 liter - one cup is about 0,236588 liter - but this still also depends on the acidity of the apple vinegar. The German apple vinegar 5% acidity. What about the american one? Question 2: I have gum arabic in dried form, and it is more golden, food quality - would that work and how much do I need?
Anyone know where I can buy these polyester plates in Australia? I can only find them in the US, Blick has Pronto plates for 60c each but it's $68 for postage.
I'm in South Africa, and had the same issue. Look for the following... Mylar sheets Black plastic stencil sheets Xerox NeverTear All three of these are polyester paper.
Hey Marc! Really nice video! Thanks for sharing! What kind of "polyester plate" is that? Any other names maybe for that material? Thank you, have a great day!
I know the acidity of apple cider vinegar is lower than that of white vinegar (ACV=5% to 6% acetic acid and 95% to 94% water, WV=4 percent to 7 percent acetic acid and 93 percent to 96 percent water), but I wonder how critical that difference is. Thank you for the video, Marc. I do hope you can answer some of your fans' questions!
I think I understand now (begins typing third response in 10 minutes!): Citric acid is used in the inking process, and Apple Cider Vinegar is derived from fruit, not grain, as white vinegar is. Apparently, as explained in the link I sent, you can use citric acid instead of vinegar.

Why apple cider vinegar and not regular vinegar?
