As a biologist these are some I'd like to see: Diplocaulus: A new fossil pokemon with the poison/rock typing. It'd be an amphibian with a literal arrowhead, dripping with curare. Ichthyosaurus: If you want a "dolphin dragon" so bad, this would be the way to go. Another fossil pokemon with the dragon/rock typing. It'd be a nod to "the dragon in the rocks" a popular book about paleontologist Mary Anning. Poodle Moth: To me, it's the ideal bug evolution to eevee Fairy Armadillo: Possible fairy/ground type Albino Mouse: I'd love them to do this as a one generation's pikachu. It'd look like a lab rat whose typing would be psychic/electric. I kind of imagine it being exposed to all kinds of weird experiments to bring out its psychic potential. and just for fun (because I know they would never do this since they got complaints about gambling): Rotom Slot: A fun promotional pokemon in the shape of a slot machine that knows moves like metronome and pay day.
Some animal pokemon I'd like to see: - Pegasus and/or unicorn. Since they're mythological creatures, I think both would have a Fairy typing. - Hyena, and yes, I know we have Mightyena but another hyena pokemon would be great. And for a more realistic addition, have the females be naturally stronger. Maybe Ground/Dark typing. - Tiger; I don't believe we have an actually tiger pokemon. Not sure about the typing, since we already have a fire lion so... Idk, really. - Wolf, since we don't have a legit wolf pokemon either. And no, Mightyena does not count because it's a hyena--hyenas aren't canines. Maybe have it in a snowy area, so Ice/Dark type? - Komodo dragon; it may sound a bit odd but think about it: it's the largest type of lizard and it's pretty badass. Either Dark/Dragon or Poison/Dragon, since Komodos have toxic saliva. - Cat and Dogs. It seems to be a trend to have the iconic cat and dog pokemon, and since in gen 6 they were somewhat "designer" or "fashionable" pets, maybe something a little more hardy. Like... a German shepherd and a Bengal cat. Types...Idk, Normal types probably. *EDIT*: OMG okay I just got a really good idea, and it has to do with the tiger and wolf pokemon. Okay, so what if they were the fossil pokemon that you get, and they're a sabertooth and a dire wolf. And depending on which version of the game you get will determine what fossil pokemon you obtain. So like, for Sun, you get the sabertooth which is like a Fire and something pokemon. And for moon, you get the dire wolf, which will be Dark/Ice.
Peacocks aren't very fast, in real life they're known to try and fly away and get yanked down their feathers and ripped to shreds and eaten, sometimes still alive.
I had a good ideaer ( ide-er). For the Pegasus they are males while the female versions are UNICORNZZZ and they evolve into alicorns and have baby horses as pre evolutions 🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄
I think a manatee Pokémon and a tuatara Pokémon would be really cool! I can see a manatee being like Lapras and being a Water/Ice type or a bulky Water/Fairy type. As for the tuatara, I can see it being a Grass/Psychic type, mostly because of its unique third eye.

Totally on board with the donkey Pegasus Pokemon idea. My favourite animal is the zebra and I love horses and donkeys too. I thought the idea of it evolving into a Pegasus was great.
I think that a gecko Pokemon would be cool and it could have a cool move where it shoots off its tail and does like 110 damage but does damage to itself. As a first evolution its type could be normal or grass. and I could not think of a second evolution so I thought that it could be like eevee and have a bunch of different evolution types like steal rock ground water and fire. And I think it would look awesome.

I also have some ideas for Pokemon: - Big Foot legendary that roams forest areas. - Yeti legendary simillar to Big Foot, but roams snowy mountains. - Blob fish that has two forms: land form based on that famous photo of blob fish out of water, which is more defensive and slow, but if that Pokemon is send out in water area it changes into water form based on alive blob fish in its natural habitat. I think that there are plenty of cool animals and mythical creatures that Game Freak could use as inspiration for new pokemon. Some ideas that I have in mind are a non-legendary tiger(no, arcanine is actually based on a fu dog), a giant isopod, another shark pokemon, a mermaid(milotic may be more like an oarfish, and I know that florges looks a little bit like a mermaid, but I'm thinking of a more standard water type mermaid), a parasaurolophous, a triceratops that is different from bastiodon, a velociraptor, a tasmanian tiger, a stegosaurus, a griffin, a sphinx(egyptian or greek), a cheetah, a gazelle, a hippocampus, an angel, and an orca. Everyone is welcome to share their ideas with me!

I know llamas and alpacas are actually different species, but I could see a very cute, fluffy alpaca-like pokémon, which then evolves into a larger, stronger llama-like 'mon (Okay, Arceus' design already looks a sorta biiit in that way, but I'd like some stand-alone llama/alpaca pokémon). But I also agree with your ideas, especially SO much with the peacocks!

What I'd also very like as a pokémon design would be a Hummingbird Hawk-Moth! If you don't know this animal yet, you should look it up, it already looks like a pokémon, IMO (like an awesome mixture of a hummingbird/colibri and an insect)! I also think we definitely need a freaking Narwhale pokémon! (And as I said: Llama/Alpaca!)
What if they made a 3rd evolution for rapidash that was a Pegasus. It would make sense since rapidash has a horn like a unicorn. Or even make a fiery Pegasus mega evolution with a tri typing of flying fire and fairy.

What I'd also very like as a pokémon design would be a Hummingbird Hawk-Moth! If you don't know this animal yet, you should look it up, it already looks like a pokémon, IMO (like an awesome mixture of a hummingbird/colibri and an insect)!
I also think we definitely need a freaking Narwhale pokémon!

I've always wanted to see a cheetah like pokemon. Though that's mostly cause the cheetah is my favorite animal.
What if they made a 3rd evolution for rapidash that was a Pegasus. It would make sense since rapidash has a horn like a unicorn. Or even make a fiery Pegasus mega evolution with a tri typing of flying fire and fairy.

Definitely agree with the peacock. I think it would be cool if the male had multiple variations.
Maybe the dolphin pokemon could be called dalpheen and it could be the new mewtwo and you would have to do a series of things to get it. It could be something you could look for so you could complete the regional dex.
A Mega Rapidash as a Fire/Fairy Alicorn would be cool. But more horses are fine by me too
