B&S 1000 series tenor demo - The underdog of the saxophone world.

I feel these B&S saxophones are underdogs in the saxophones world and deserve a shout out.
If you get 1 then have it serviced and set up and you will find out that they can be nice saxophones and great value for money.

I have had my B&S 1000 series alto for 26 years. I keep thinking I should get into something new but I like it and everyone always compliments my sound on it. I think you're right...underdog.

Did I read somewhere that the Guardala saxophones were B&S saxophones with Guardala label/stencil? Guardala tenors were killer!

Thank you for the demo. What does 1000 series mean? I am offered B&S tenor with serial number 10572. Is it not as good?

The 1000 series is a more modern version of the blue label and is a very nice tenor. The sax you are talking about is probably the blue label and still a nice sax but not as modern feeling under the fingers.

Never tried Sonora but will try 1 if I find 1.
