New cheetah cubs must fight for their lives

The Mara has been blessed with the arrival of new life as Nashipai, one of our resident cheetahs, has given birth to four cubs. She ventured out of the den with them recently and must now keep them away from harm’s way.
The journey ahead is fraught with challenges as lions, leopards, hyenas and even birds of prey and others all pose serious threats to their lives. With less than 5% of cheetah cubs making it to adulthood, we wish Nashipai and her cubs the best of luck in the days ahead.
