  • Pen to a blank sheet of paper now i write whats inside
Its hard to vocalize without the music, the things that i find
Can we open our hearts and our minds
The way it felt when we shined in moonlight
All i know is, when i look in her eyes, I feel so alive
Falling for this girl i know i am, for the hundredth time.
Met under circumstances less ideal then we'd like
but roller coasters, beaches, and bear mountain bridges we'd ride
Summer time was, never so fine
Can you feel the feeling i felt fallen under the pale moon light
in spite of the fears hiding inside, I feel so alive.
Falling for this girl i know i am, for the hundredth time.

Thanks for your kind words!! I'm playing a stock Martin OMJM here. Fabulous playing and sounding guitar... i actually went to the Martin factory and hand picked it among some other guitars that they were gracious enough to let me play!

Thanks! I would say the best melodies come from trying to simplify things as much as possible. Hope that helps!

    Amazing... as usual :)
The harmonies are beautiful as well as the melody
If I can ask, I would like to see the guitar on camera too if you don't mind

@sixStringsforWords Thanks so much! With regard to my hands in the frame; its tough with softer songs like this because in order to get the best audio recording i have to be closer to the computer's built in mic. I recorded a second guitar track on this in case you were wondering.

Thanks all! @64ccd, your right i aim to be as melodic as possible... in terms of lyrics believe it or not listening to rap has helped me a lot in terms of parsing together vowel and syllable sounds... in terms of melody this is a bit hardy to explain... not quite sure how i do it other than to say i try purposefully to keep things as simple as possible. I find that in general, the simpler a melodic line, the more pleasing to hear.

I started off watching you play your Two Rock, then watched this and others by you, you're so talented. Now the Anorak question! What model of martin are you playing in this video, sounds beautiful, plus with the help of your fingers of course.

Wish I could sing with such interesting melody. The way you do that is reminiscent of how Justin Vernon in Bon Iver writes his lyrics (melodically that is). Any tips?
