After seeing the autopsy and how Mr Petty died, this has an entirely different meaning. He was trying to remain a relevant artist and it was tearing him up. He will be remembered as a master of his craft.

my step dad loved this song. we had a big stereo system in the house when i was young. he died when i was 10 and my mom would sit up almost every night and blast this and a select few others that i wouldnt remember unless i heard them. she passed 2 years ago so its nice to hear this again and bring back some memories.

I was teaching English in Japan following a painful divorce and my world was closing in on me and I felt like I was losing my mind when I went out and bought a ghetto blaster and a cd of Tom Petty.
