About 20 years ago I worked at Walmart as an assembler. Typically, we'd assemble furniture for the display items as the selection changed throughout the year. We'd also do final assembly on bicycles and lawnmowers as they shipped to the store in a box. If a customer was buying a piece of furniture and they requested it, we would assemble it free of charge. If you just read that and think you'll do that next time you buy something from Walmart, I don't recommend it. Most of Walmart furniture isn't intended to be transported in an assembled state. One other part of the job was inspecting items that got returned and ordering replacement parts from the manufacturer (bicycle wheels, lawnmower handles, etc.). One night I had to inspect these "two" unassembled bookshelves. According to the CSR, the customer said he purchased two identical bookshelves and later returned them, claiming they were missing pieces. In order to figure out what was missing, I inventoried the components of both sets. I found between both sets, everything needed to assemble one complete bookshelf with no pieces left over. This customer bought both bookshelves, kept one, then took half of the boards out of the second box, put them in the first box, then returned both for a full refund.
Not with the employee discount one though. Work there for a bit, use it, and quit. They'd fire you in a heartbeat for any old thing plus you would actually be working for them so it's all above board
@@lizzyblitz07 Also... "we'll badmouth you to your future employment" 1. Legally they can't forbid you from working somewhere else or tell someone not to hire you (in the US) 2. Chances are you weren't going to use them as a reference anyway lol
There’s also a fine line between hah it’s a joke and wow this guy genuinely believes this crap. What a fkn dumbass clown. None of these things would ever work. It’s just extremely stupid. And the working for a car dealership one is the most stupid of all. If you get hired at a dealership, which is already VERY unlikely because you’d need good sales history, you’d have to work there for months before you get an employee discount. And if you’re working there you’d have to be making sales otherwise you’re fired. If you aren’t making sales you’d be fired way before you even get a discount. And if you’re working there long enough to get a discount and you’re selling cars you’d be the dumbest fk ever to quit since you’d be making very good money. Way more than you’d ever make working normal jobs like retail/service. Even managers at retail/customer service/sales/food service would NEVER make anywhere near as much as a car salesman. They get paid hourly plus commission. Commission when literally every single car within the last 10 years is over 10k while cars as old as 2015 are easily going for 15k-40k and cars after 2020 are 20k+. Look these prices up, they’re ridiculous. Car salesman are making massive bank for very little effort. These aren’t life hacks. It’s just pure stupidity.

I work as an EMT with a fire department. Don't go to a big hospital ER unless you are actively dying. If it's something that isn't going to kill you but can't wait to be seen by a primary care physician, go to an urgent care. If it can wait to be seen by a peimary care doc, wait to be seen by the primary care doc. If you are unsure, check to see if your state doesn't bill for 911 calls unless you do the ambulance ride. Most states don't make you pay for an evaluation at home as a way to make people feel comfortable calling for EMS for help. We legally have to advise you to come for hospital evaluation, but any EMS person worth their salt will be upfront if they aren't seeing anything life threatening. If you want to try to game the system, fine. But, there are other ways to try to save yourself money and time and they don't overload the emergency departments.
Dealers are ahead of that lol most require that you work there at least one year and that you work there the entire term of your lease if you purchase the car, they have a one year employment policy. Hopefully that helps. If you’re happy working for a dealership, that is a great hack.
@dominicroberto2766 not necessarily. If you give em a generic ass name, and are not looking for cancer treatment at the ER, you should be fine. I know a guy lamoo
If you have ever been fingerprinted your fcked also they can take a photo of you and search the image to a social media account there’s a lot of ways for them to find out really
The one of these I have a problem with is the Lost and Found thing... like people don't always come back for that stuff, sometimes it never gets taken to lost and found... but imagine you do go back for it and your told that someone else already walked off with it
Well, there are a couple flaws as far as the dealership and furniture manufacturer ones go. For many places you have to work there for a certain period of time before you get a discount, like the 3 month probation before benefits start, and depending on your job there you may not be privy to how much a vehicle was bought for, or how much the lot values it at. However, if you have some kind of a vehicle related skill, like polishing out scratches, something that not everyone has and isn't used all the time, you may be able to do a part time there for a long period of time and get that employee discount, as well as gain the trust of the managers and staff. Another good skill would be learning to sew up tears in fabric seats, it comes in very handy. As far as the furniture manufacturer one goes, they're probably going to ask for your furniture's serial number, as most large manufacturers give a serial to each piece they produce, they have an acceptable number of parts they will give before they will stop giving parts for a serial number and will start charging for each part, second issue is that many will not deal directly with the customer, they go through dealers who buy the furniture and then sell it to customers, so you would need to only try this with a manufacturer that you can buy directly from. A third problem to consider is that this will only work with modular furniture, things you have to build yourself, like IKEA furniture, the average sofa or recliner is completely prebuilt, the manufacturer will not be sending a couch frame to you, but if you're handy you could build a frame yourself and maybe get the upholstery for it, and then upholster the whole thing yourself, not an easy task, but doable. They'll probably also get suspicious if you get different parts for the same piece of furniture all sent to the same address and under the same name. It's also fraud or theft, or both.
You definitely shouldn’t pay for the gas, your company is reimbursing you for, in cash, print out a receipt for what you paid, put in half of the gas and get the money back. You still have the receipt for the full amount and you get to pocket the rest.

This is honestly a very depressing case. The man who should have swiftly been brought to justice was allowed to be free and a young life was ruined. A man lost his partner, anothers lost theirs while imprisoned, and 2 others served most of their adult life imprisoned for something they never even did. Psychologically ruined and made to believe lies, forced to live life as a civilian with some of the worst criminal history you can possibly have. The millions they made from the city I doubt whatever come close to making up for what happened to them into those in their lives. And it certainly doesn't make up for the young girl who is a victim of the true Criminal who should have been locked up. And it doesn't make up for the last 6 months of one of their wives, who didn't get to spend the rest of her life together.
You're right, you shouldn't do these things. ER nurse here, Admin WILL find out who you are and you WILL be billed, and for the pain in the ass that you were trying to be slick, Admin will also be a lot less willing to work with you in cash discounts. If you have the time to just get hired at a dealership just to go undercover and use an employee discount to save a few thousand, either you're jobless and shouldn't be getting a new car, or you're so rich you don't need to save that money. The last 2 are just stealing with extra steps. So yeah, definitely DON'T do these things
Literally none of this will work. Hospitals will find out who you are, furniture companies need receipts, car dealerships might give you a deal on a LEASE/financing or maybe you don’t have to pay markup, but you’re not getting an employee discount on the purchase price. Grabbing lost and found items is scummy.
As a former hotel worker. Do that. Truth is 99% of that shit never EVER gets claimed, and when it does it’s typically in the first 72 hours. Get it out of there. The hotel I was working at, if I recall correctly, had like an entire closet full of lost stuff

Ok but that last one you really shouldn’t do for real. It used to be you’d get away with it, but nowadays most big companies keep a database of shipments and the person shipping your “missing parts” is eventually gonna realize that you’ve called and had 8 other parts sent to your house and their just gonna stop altogether. May even refuse to send parts in the future when you have a genuine issue. You might be able to get away with it with some smaller mom and pop stores but even then it’s not likely cause it’s 2024 and unless the mom and pop in question are literally in their early 100s they probably have a computer to track that stuff too.

Bro has clearly never worked at a dealership. 1. It takes month(s) of training with no prior experience before they let you attempt to sell. 2. You dont get that great of a deal when youre a newbie in sales. Only the long term 20+ year assciate/exec gets a deal worth while. 3. Its not like you get to just sell yourself a car, there is another person involved & they have to make money on it. They arent giving any special favors to the new competition across the showroom floor. 4. There is probably a clause in employment contract protecting them in this exact cenario. There is a number of different legal things they can & will do to make your life harder. 5. If you are in the car business, you understand that sales guys, dealer execs, managers, and techs gossip around the area. You will destroy your reputation pulling an amature stunt like that.
As a Vet who gets his care though the VA, I love it. I have not had a problem. The issue isn't the VA, it's insurance companies doing what they can to keep making money off of sick people.

He was in a probation period so he only had to give 1 day notice. Legend.
There’s a fine line between life hacks and straight up theft…and this dude is crossing that line.
Not with the employee discount one though. Work there for a bit, use it, and quit. They'd fire you in a heartbeat for any old thing plus you would actually be working for them so it's all above board
@@lizzyblitz07 Also... "we'll badmouth you to your future employment"
1. Legally they can't forbid you from working somewhere else or tell someone not to hire you (in the US)

This dude is my spirit animal
Wait until he exposes the Gallium and Aluminum thing, the world would crumble literally
Dealers are ahead of that lol most require that you work there at least one year and that you work there the entire term of your lease if you purchase the car, they have a one year employment policy. Hopefully that helps. If you’re happy working for a dealership, that is a great hack.
I love casually stumbling across various points of your escalation villain arc 😂
Does the first one really work feel like hospitals have a way around it
They'll find out your information
I Live in a place where Healthcare is Free for young people and barley cost Anything for older people
@dominicroberto2766 not necessarily. If you give em a generic ass name, and are not looking for cancer treatment at the ER, you should be fine. I know a guy lamoo
If you have ever been fingerprinted your fcked also they can take a photo of you and search the image to a social media account there’s a lot of ways for them to find out really
It does.
I did not do this
It's official... this man is definitely my spirit animal! 😂
I've done the lost-and-found thing. It was raining quite hard that day. I went to a lost and found and told them "I lost my umbrella. It was black". They brought out three forgotten black umbrellas for me to choose from. I chose the best one. It was great! (Unfortunately I lost it a few weeks later LOL)
This man is a god damn hero
They won't deny you *life saving* care at the ER. They aren't going to treat your sniffles or your broken arm, bro.
Car salesmen don't get a discount. One dealership I worked at actually required employees to pay full sticker.
This one should be called “things your shady older cousin should’ve taught you” 🤣🤣
Hospitals have to give you basic care to stabilize, but not much else.
As a former hotel worker. Do that. Truth is 99% of that shit never EVER gets claimed, and when it does it’s typically in the first 72 hours. Get it out of there. The hotel I was working at, if I recall correctly, had like an entire closet full of lost stuff
Recently got food poisoning in a foreign country. Big thanks to my mother for making sure I had my insurance card and passport on me at all times before sending me off! I got the care I needed, but there was quite a bit of paperwork that wouldn't've been possible without all that stuff
I know a kid who used to go ask about found iPhones. He’d say a generic description, and if they didn’t have it they’d usually say something like “we just have this red one” when he asked about a black one. He’d just go back later and ask if they found a red one.
The furniture thing sounds like mailing a humvee home one little piece at a time
I don't know why people think ER can't refuse service. If you're not clearly dying or in mortal danger, they absolutely can tell you no.
Me calling Home Depot: “Uhh…I forgot a piece of my house?”
Theyre going to ask who you are, even if you dont have ID. And youre gonna have to fill out forms in place of that ID. Refuse to fill out paperwork? Thats considered a refusal of care, and youll be seen out by security.
I work at a hospital an I promise you that first one, not the case. They will figure out who you are and bill you. They have ways lol. They can't deny you health care, but your still in that room till your treatments over and trust me, if you have medical history they'll find it. Plus it's probably good to let them know about allergies and such so you know, you don't die.
That’s cool. I had a neighbor who used to do this as a career. She had a previous larceny conviction and was a drug addict
That shit only works with chargers and airpods. Bluetooth speakers though you can change their name as it shows up on Bluetooth. Next you get your shit back because no one is going to know your Bluetooth speaker is named "bigdicksrus" unless it's paired. And then when you go in to retrieve it pair it with anyone's phone to show its yours.
If you go to the Emergency Room to skip ahead of all the drug addicts just tell them you are having heart issues.
I saw a guy going into the hospital two days ago, who fell off a motorcycle shredded, his whole back shredded. His ankles had his one leg folded in the opposite direction. They wouldn’t admit him until they got a name! They let me and my wife go first.
Ship of Theseus-ing a coffee table sounds like more fun than it ever should be
You can also call Lego, and tell them they forgot a specific minifig from a set you got as a gift. Theyll just mail you a new one.
Same with Wizards of the Coast cards like Pokemon. Just say the card is damaged and they'll mail you a new one.
Trust me when I say you do not want free universal Healthcare. Imagine the VA but ten times worse. That's what you'll get.

We don't have to imagine because it already exists all across the globe and is overall pretty awesome. Please stop spreading bad information.

Heres a tip for anyone who may end up or is currently homeless or in need of clothes. Go to any goodwill or salvation army and politely ask if they have anything they can spare. They are usually very nice people and fully understand what hard times are like. They will more than likely give you a bag of clothes and some may even offer you extra stuff like food or whatever. Dont get greedy though. They spare what they can and they dont like it when people try to BS them for stuff you can flip. A homeless guy in Louisiana gave me this tip and it worked the first time i tried it. Stay blassed.

What you are advocating for people "not to do" is indirect theft.
So, take him seriously when he says, "You should not do this". He is correct. You should not be a shady person.

ER without paying is precisely why ER is so damn expensive. You'd be amazed at how many resources are wasted on homeless/poor people who don't actually have an emergency
That’s not a waste tho, and the real reason it cost so much is because of insurance companies.
I’ll tell you right now, from working at a dealership, if they can make money off someone else instead of selling you the car, they will. Every time. You won’t get a deal just from working there. In fact they would rather not sell to you at all
There are always Ray Bans at festival lost and founds
I did the hospital thing. They literally did nothing for me and I wasn't paying for it.
An actually good way to do the lost and found tip is to ASK THEM IF THEY HAVE STUFF THAT HAS BEEN THERE FOR A LONG TIME. Don't do things that you know are unethical.
I’m going to do things I know are unethical
About half of these things will put you behind bars.
Im just imagining calling IKEA for 2 parts every month untill you have an entire couch for free😂
The car dealership one is only worth it in very narrow circumstances
"Oh, u dont have id, or insurance? Ok well, we are not going to treat u here at this hospital but we will send u to a county facility."
"Oh no."
Healthcare workers are only required to provide you life saving care, they don’t just give out that stuff for free. If they cannot find you, they hire a collection agency to track you down and pay your charges.

I don’t see how that last one would work. To be sure they would ask for some serial numbers or something, right?
For working at a dealer you have to work there for 3 months I believe in order to get the discount
You can also just not pay medical bills.
In my experience they call ya, complain, I ask for an itemized list breaking down exactly what they are charging me for, they send a bill that is NOT itemized and vague, I don't pay, they send to collections, I still don't pay, idk after this not my problem.
