It's amazing to see many people trying to play this expansion properly and not getting paid for the renovations and then there's Jim making money out of literal trash.

It's because they don't "show" the items that match the Sims wants. I absolutely love that Kevin made their houses shit shows and got paid top dollar and people like plumbella try-harded and got nothing bc she showed the wrong items
@@mjbutnotmaryjane Carl did something similar when the pack came out, essentially he threw down the items they requested and put a pile of dog poo as his calling card and they loved it. The job is dead easy that way. I'm guessing the people who are having trouble with this job are expecting the sims hiring them to give a damn about what they think is awesome when all they care about is 3 simple instructions that they could have just done themselves with a bit of paint and spare cash.

The Sims actually don’t completely enjoy absolutely every design. Kevin’s Designs are actually very eye-catching and beautiful, it’s surprising the computer can pick up the little great nuances. -a 100% real authentic interior director
The reason the DLC cost so much is because they invested tons of money and effort into neural nets that could understand interior design

Saying the Sims 2 is “depressing” is such an understatement
Ok but sims 4 is 10x worse; they strip the base game down to the bare bare essentials and charge tf out of you to get back so much stuff that should have been in base game.
Outside that: your sims are wholly self reliant - there's no effort in keeping them alive or building lives, you can let them autopilot and the game plays itself.
The whole of sims 4 is just painfully empty and devoid of joy - sims 2 at least had humor.

Same sentiment, different perspective:TS2 things happen that can be good or bad, you can absolutely fail, but theres this whimsical overarching feel to it all. Sims 4 nothing bad ever really happens and from my pOV: nothing really happens. It basically mimicks life without naturally occuring random tragedy: its a silent madness.

@@bissenness8106 He had them start a clothing business which captured Sims in the basement created clothes for and he would try to spread around to the public to sell and earn money for it, so... somewhat, but not quite that yet!

yeah I mean all you gotta do is make "environment factor" matter or have like a score for that, since "environment" is a real ass thing in this game and also like require things like chairs to base the room on..I mean it wont be very different but it would be like 50% more normalish.

This is by far my favorite series in entirety, never a dull moment that's for sure. These videos has helped pass my time while deployed overseas. Truly a masterpiece and a job well done. I cant wait for more of this!

This is the only correct way to play an interior decorator in the sims. In sims 3 I like to create an underground maze for my clients with all the required objects in unnecessarily awkward locations around it
