This is a road trip game in an almost infinite random generated desert. The focus is on freedom, driving, exploration and immersion. It has minimal car maintenance and survival elements.
Infinite Desert, Freedom and Driving:
There are no invisible walls or unable to jump over small fences, or blinking red "wrong direction" signs on the hud. The car won't need 10-20 liter fuel over just only a few hundred meters, with a full tank, you could go approximately 500 kilometers. If you see a distant big mountain, you can go there and if you are capable, you can climb it. If you don't like where the mirrors are facing you can adjust them however you want or throw them away while driving at full speed. If you want to lean out of the car, or closer to the radio or near anything, you can. - เกม

Did you just notice with this video? Josh has been live streaming the long drive for almost a year now. He's done so so many things.. so many awful and hilarious things. We've spent so many hours counting gold bars, using severed limbs to hook other vehicles to the gold bar bus, freestyle crouch dancing, and 20 second fades to random images which Josh really enjoys.
Also, macro jumping to the heavens, glitching license plates to the side of plywood sheets, and generally watching every single physics object in the game gain sentience and attempt vainly to escape from Joshes grasp.
Sad that bots are getting more attention in the comments than the guys who made the game

Not sure if you're the real dev, but, this game is all I ever wanted GMOD to be. Add more things to do! Like submarines, airplanes, .. Maybe even an rpg system for the fun of it

Honestly this is nothing compared to the storyline of his playthrough he did of this on Twitch with the whole gold bar lineage and his marriage to a pair of severed arms it's a pretty wild time.

So I doubt you'll see this comment, but I've been watching through your old streams of this game and I thought of something. You have problems with keeping the gold bars on the bus... Why not attach them to the side or front of the bus? Unless you specifically have to have them inside of the bus because they're family, it seems like an alternative to having to count every 45 meters 😂

I found it and posted it here, but then deleted it as the presentation video has very little views and he might not want people to see his face as he would have shown it already if he wanted to. The first car you had (from the garage) is the Trabant 601. It needs two-stroke fuel, the reason it was going slow is because you dissolved the 3% oil with way more gasoline. You need to have at least 3% oil alongside gas for it to go fast. If there is no oil, it won;t even start.
Oh yes you know Josh made a good video when it has "nightmare" in the title!

I found your channel recently and I love it! Especially late at night when I can't get no sleep.
I've been playing this game on and off the last year. It's a weirdly comforting, sort of meditative game that's nice to just throw a podcast on, build a car, scrounge for items and just cruise down the road. It was fun watching you break this janky but lovely game.

I'm not sure if the lore has changed or not, but originally the idea was that it is post-apocalypse, something along the lines of Mad Max.
@@keegany4r176 Yeah the devs said something about semi-apocalyptic, like in the original Mad Max where there may or may not be goverment in some areas.
It hurts to see how strange some of the things are in his videos- and that’s why I love them.

I’ve been a fan for the longest time like since 2020 and whenever I would play any game I would try and do my voice of josh and I always remembered the old intro I hope every single one of you guys have a good day love you all ❤
I was literally laughing tears, when i saw the first car was an "Trabant 601i Kombi" from the old German Democratic Republik ! I was born in there ´75, and you had to wait 12(!) or more YEARS after you ordered your car. It was such a crap, the outside was made from glued paper !!! So funny, the game-designer even modeled the original motor-compartment and dashboard with the max. 120km/h speedometer ! Btw, the green-to-red LED-Gauge is the RPM-meter, which was more or less the only tuning part for the car, aside from radio+antenna+foxtail and the petcock-expansion. Feels so nostalgic to see this car rendered in a game, hope the sound is realistic like the rest. Sad that you can not smell the exhaust-fume of a 2 stroker...

This car was called „Trabant“ and people waited to get one of those for a decade during the 70s and 80s. The little sounds I heard also seem to come from the original car.

One of the worst cars ever made, but they're iconic because of the Cold War. The bodies aren't even metal, they were made of duroplast, which is a plastic made from cotton fibers and resin. Goats have been known to eat Trabbies whole.

@@benn454 yep, duroplast is basically fibreglass but made of plant fibres instead of glass fibres. really an interesting idea, and it would be quite useful today as a more environmentally friendly way to make stuff.
