Can't complain, personally, though naturally I want to hear Elena and Malukah again at some point. Hoping beyond hope that it ends with another crossover between all 3 as well, with Matt Shadows' vocals and A7X on the instruments. That's a pipe dream, I know.

Wow. This just shows how much everything has improved since the beginning. All the singers havs improved so much! The writing has always been amazing but seems so much more thematic. And the riffs here are great. You guys always kill it!
This is probably my favourite zombies song in the whole franchise, there’s just something about the message of it and how ominous it is. The whole tone and vibe of the song just perfectly encompasses the 4 main characters journey and the sad yet inevitable end it was coming to. In beginning with the fast paced tempo is like they are still battling hard and on a mission but then half way through the song when the tempo and pace slows down and turns more melodic it’s as if they are realizing and accepting the fact that their deaths are inevitable and slowly coming to peace with it. Masterpiece.
Amazing, just amazing, no more words are needed to describe this song, thank you Kevin for such an amazing song, please continue with making these songs, and thank you for keeping black ops 4 interesting with this absolute BEAUTY.
This might be my favorite Clark S. Nova song. That “up in the air” part just hits right. Hope we see more songs with him in the next Treyarch installment in 2023.
I gotta say, I really like how during the darker lyrics, you have that deeper more gravely voice behind the regular singing. It really gives the feeling of a continual downward spiral.

To be honest, when this came out I honestly thought nothing of it. I didn't play Black Ops 4, but I did come to enjoy the EE songs, all except for this one. Not that I ever hated it, it just didn't connect with me in the same way that pretty much every one since WaW had done. A couple of years ago, I burned a CD with about 2 thirds of all the zombies songs on it (That's all it could hold, and with the technique I used, it was pretty much random which ones ended up on the CD and which didn't) to listen to in the car. Every single time this song would come on I would skip it, pretty much without fail. I recently started listening to that CD again and, as expected, skipped this song when it came on. This changed three days ago, and as of the time of writing this comment, I would go as far as to say that this is currently my favourite EE song of all. The first verse is quite clearly the part that put me off, because past that, in the choruses and especially the last third of song, I found a special type of beauty that cannot be described. You know it when you hear it, and I've found myself listening to this song on repeat for the past couple of days. Clark's voice is heavenly and the melancholic melody combined with the intricate, franticly rhyming lyrics resonates deep within my soul. Thank you Kevin and Clark
@@Kolbycortis *Sigh* Nuketown is a part of Alpha Omega. Yeah, it might be a big part of it, but it's not the entire map. We have both crews put together for the first time ever, a decently good Easter egg, amazing wonder weapons, and a beautiful daytime map that you can actually see on. I get what you're saying, as 3 remakes is excessive, but you have to understand that Treyarch had a lot of budget cuts this year due to issues in development. We're lucky we're still getting the quality we asked for.

They were new, innovative, and fun with amazing cut-scenes and story telling compared to the mind-fuck of Aether that's trying to actually make sense of it's story YEARS later. Every single map from Aether has been a "remake" because that's what the community has constantly been asking for from Treyarch forever. Now we're getting it and people are still complaining. Each map is still unique and fun to play for gameplay in it's own way with new elements.

When you take the ending of Tag Der Toten into account it's nice they didn't have a vocal song for it. This song describes the ending perfectly. "I am the Well I am the ever after" "No ones enough even you" "Running from something that never stops running from you"
I gotta disagree with that although it is great, he did a fantastic job with Dead Ended and Stormbound considering the theme and tone he was likely asked to portray.

After giving it some thought. This entire song could be a reference to the poem "the well; the howler" by hp lovecraft. We know that lovecraftian stuff was a big inspiration to the later years of the Aether storyline. The poems themes are very much touched on in the movie Color Out of Space.

I gotta say, I really like how during the darker lyrics, you have that deeper more gravely voice behind the regular singing. It really gives the feeling of a continual downward spiral.

To be honest, when this came out I honestly thought nothing of it. I didn't play Black Ops 4, but I did come to enjoy the EE songs, all except for this one. Not that I ever hated it, it just didn't connect with me in the same way that pretty much every one since WaW had done. A couple of years ago, I burned a CD with about 2 thirds of all the zombies songs on it (That's all it could hold, and with the technique I used, it was pretty much random which ones ended up on the CD and which didn't) to listen to in the car. Every single time this song would come on I would skip it, pretty much without fail. I recently started listening to that CD again and, as expected, skipped this song when it came on. This changed three days ago, and as of the time of writing this comment, I would go as far as to say that this is currently my favourite EE song of all. The first verse is quite clearly the part that put me off, because past that, in the choruses and especially the last third of song, I found a special type of beauty that cannot be described. You know it when you hear it, and I've found myself listening to this song on repeat for the past couple of days. Clark's voice is heavenly and the melancholic melody combined with the intricate, franticly rhyming lyrics resonates deep within my soul. Thank you Kevin and Clark

@@Kolbycortis *Sigh* Nuketown is a part of Alpha Omega. Yeah, it might be a big part of it, but it's not the entire map. We have both crews put together for the first time ever, a decently good Easter egg, amazing wonder weapons, and a beautiful daytime map that you can actually see on. I get what you're saying, as 3 remakes is excessive, but you have to understand that Treyarch had a lot of budget cuts this year due to issues in development. We're lucky we're still getting the quality we asked for.
@@Kolbycortis We got 4 amazing Chaos Maps and I don't care if people don't like them. They were new, innovative, and fun with amazing cut-scenes and story telling compared to the mind-fuck of Aether that's trying to actually make sense of it's story YEARS later. Every single map from Aether has been a "remake" because that's what the community has constantly been asking for from Treyarch forever. Now we're getting it and people are still complaining. Each map is still unique and fun to play for gameplay in it's own way with new elements.
@@angelaheart6432 chaos got screwed by the fuckup that was aether in bo4. they shouldve focused on chaos in bo4 and done the aether finale on bo5. instead we got a sloppy ending to aether and a rushed beginning to chaos.

When you take the ending of Tag Der Toten into account it's nice they didn't have a vocal song for it. This song describes the ending perfectly.

This entire song could be a reference to the poem "the well; the howler" by hp lovecraft. We know that lovecraftian stuff was a big inspiration to the later years of the Aether storyline.
The poems themes are very much touched on in the movie Color Out of Space.
This song is a real reminder of when I first started playing zombies. Especially when that guitar solo hit and my though was “This is a zombies song”
