Encinitas is one of the most ridiculously beautiful towns in the United States. I've lived here for years and it never gets old. Almost perfect weather year round, gorgeous beaches, big cliffs, clean, tons of restaurants, almost all the power lines are buried, almost no houses poorly maintained. THEE ONLY thing that sucks about Encinitas is the cost. Everything else is nirvana.

Lived in all the beach towns over 20-some years from Del Mar to Carlsbad, except for Leucadia (never lived there) Owned a house in Encinitas. Lived out there for about 30+ years all together. Nice memories - but unbelievably expensive now. And the traffic is still horrendous.

From your experiences, if you won a big lottery and decided to live in California for awhile, where would you chose?

"I've been everywhere" was written about me. Ahem...kaf..kaf..
      Encinitas would be my South.
Inland N. Cali would be my Autumn.
      ARIZONA would be my Winter.
      Me? 4 seasons Yuma.
Sedona is nice in the winter.
      Kaliph hornia? ...eh...

So I just HAVE to comment!
I spent 5 years as a "vagabond"...(homeless person)... currently living in a "white privilege" trailer park in YUMA!! Yay!!
Encinitas: I wish I was there to guide you because I know every inch of the place.
1st: some of the nicest people.
    Mostly "upper middle class"
I will get back to you but REALLY you must photograph "Wind-n-Sea" in La Jolla.

    Apologies for two comments...
Mr. Island Hopper: you gotta "beat cheeks" and get to Ketchum Idaho for Labor Day.
Research it and then put it in Gear.
