    I've been a fan since I bought KJ's first album with pocket money when I was in primary school. I'm a Kiwi now living in Australia, and that all started when I flew from NZ in 2005 to see KJ play in Melbourne, which was a life-changing experience that will stay with me til the day I die. Tell you what though, I really miss a good meat pie...and Kaitaia Fire! Man but Jaz makes me want to return home.

      Love Jaz... but, if he was elected, his first act would be something Mad like Declaring war on Atlantis, or funding a space shield to protect us from Evil Moonbeams.

      Hes always relaxed, especially when u let him talk about what he cares, that is joke, politics and/or mistics. He is a great example of a great human.

    Agreed. Also, if you don't like it, you don't have to buy it. The album orginials and reissues are available and relatively cheap.

      Yea he is a weird mix. He is also pro-EU which I find baffling as he is an old school "leftie"

    musicians gotta get paid too... the interwebz sealed the music industries fate. Tour or sell crap on online.
    you would do it too.

    Great music, inspiring worth ethic.
    But how can he call out Bono and Geldof for hypocrisy about the environment if he records his album in several different countries, flying in between, when he could record it all in one place? Not to mention all his thousands of other flights?

  • @onelove1968

    $300 bucks for a multi-media cd package? gimme a break. the average listener can't afford that. besides, who really needs all of that merch-filler-crap. how about musicians just doing it for the love of music whilst earning a fair living wage?

    • @SuperBroonie
      @SuperBroonie 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most musicians dont earn anything much even ones who are relatively popular. £$300 is a huge amount of money for a bands new release but NIN's have obsessive fans who will buy it. A new group wouldnt be able to pull that off ( I doubt)

    oh daughter of Jaz, could not have you directed this interveiw rather more constructively ?
    i hope the musically inclined youth of NZ hear this mans advice and use it. USE IT

  • @StuckInHistory
    @StuckInHistory 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    now let me ask, being that Jaz has so much to do with this country why does he not play here ?

    • @youjoker9647
      @youjoker9647 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why? It's because he's full of shit. Also tax reasons. I love him as a musician but the guy has talked so much BS over the years, he's a hypocrite. His latest interview he's telling everyone he's always been a gypsy, hates staying in one place. He also says how great the USA is, yet around the time of Heath Ledgers death, he was saying how KJ or him solo would never tour the US again and how much he hated it and the people. He's a fucking hypocrite in that respect. Maybe lay off the spliff and expensive whisky Jazz before you do interviews, so you can at least not come across as a liar & hypocrite?
