Today's video is another KILN OPENING! YAY!
It's a straight up cone 6.
I have combos and single glazes in this load using Amaco, Mayco, Coyote and Speedball! All of the pieces in ths kiln load are made with Plainsman 370😊

Rose quartz has been my favorite for at least a month. Who knows what it will be in April - probably a combination from your kiln opening. You got some beautiful results!!! It’s always so much fun to see what you’ve done 😊

Hey Audrey how funny when u pulled that plate out I was like oh yay rainforest I love rainforest before you said anything haha Thankyou for the shout out! That jug and pink mug are gorgeous! When I do 3 amaryllis it turns out so brown. Your drips are amazing I’m so jealous of your cone 6 gotta turn Freddy up!! Wow that shipwreck bowl is stunning! The crack is a spoon rest! Amazing unload u must be thrilled!! Xxxx

Beautiful kiln load Audrey! I must say one popular mug combo for me is 2x Mayco smoke with 2x peppered plum over and a bit of lt flux on rim. It's one of my favs! 🥰

In your experience, is Peacock a stable glaze and does it show detail well??
Yes, Peacock is like a celadon and stays put! Like other celadons, it shows texture very well!
Hi I’ve just watched you for the first time and love your combinations of glazes. I loved the pink mug especially which I have tried - not quite in your combo but same colour of glazes however mine ran and stuck fast to the kiln cookies 😢. Could you please help with why yours didn’t run? I fired to 1220 no hold and natural cool down. They were all on the top shelf but a previous kiln firing I had them on the bottom shelf. I’ve tried flux blossom all over (2thin coats) under Rose quartz (2coats to 3/4 down mug ) and ran. Also FB under Amaryllis same as above and they ran, and RQ under Amarylis and a thin coat of FB round the top and it ran into the cookie too. All on a white non grog clay. What the heck am I doing wrong with these glazes? If you can help thanks so much. Lynne New Zealand
Sheesh! I don't know why they would have an at cone 6. Is your kiln firing hot? What do your Pyro cones say? I have to honestly say, though, that I think my kiln may be firing a little cool. Gosh, I wish I could give you a solid answer. Thank you so much for your kind compliments!
