Ahh, Lisa, you are the sweetest! Thank you so much. I'm humbled by the generosity and optimism that makes up this wonderful, creative pottery community. And super great results! Thank you again. ❤
Oh Lisa, Im LOVIN that BEAR! oh wait...that FOX!!!! and OH DAAAAMMM That Kimchi/Amarylis bowl OMGoodness Im having a breakdown trying to remember all of these glazes to be done on my yet to be bixque pieces!!!! you'rekillinme!! with that last piece.
Pretty kiln unload! Love the purple haze and you cracked me up with your comment about your lack of patience for brushing it😂. Thanks for the update about Tiffanie and Amanda! Aww Fern…love that. I just want to be in the forest myself. I wondered why there had not been hobble creek pottery videos!! I’m so behind on watching vids, been away from it for a bit. AND thank you so much for the tips on the slow cool programming. I did start lower than recommended and it still got hotter than I wanted!! So..good to know! Super cute birdie butter dish and adore the Mr. Animals in their cute shirts lol! Yes!! Seaweed is SUPER thin…I usually do 2-3 coats just bc I’m not sure if it’s thick enough🙄. Love that Sodt aqua and WOW those last 2 bowls with the kimchi/ amaryllis and the other w the glaze chips???😮😮😮INSPIRED!Thanks for sharing Lisa❤
Hi Starr. Thanks so much for the kind words. I am looking forward to your next video! I love your layering combos. Amazing how we all inspire one another!
Hi Lisa, thank you for the shoutout!🥰 Let’s talk about this unloading, wowza!!! It was breathtaking! I need to buy that turquoise lake glaze asap, it’s beautiful. Your pink bowl and plate are just stunning. I rewinded a few times to keep admiring the colors. They are eye candy!😂 Also loved your mugs with the transfers, very cute. Thanks again, your work is so inspiring!❤❤❤ I’m watching it again and loved your butter dish with the little bird on top!😍
Amaryllis….. hmmm will have to investigate that one. I like that you did a shout out to Tiffany as well. Beautiful pots as usual and I love that you experiment regularly 🎉
Wow so many amazing glaze combinations 🤩 I only have a low fire kiln so I don’t get to play with these glazes but one day I will and I can’t wait 🥰💕 thanks so much for sharing x
Hooooweee! Great kiln unload. LOVE that plate on the end...AMAZING! I have been using pearl white to make other glazes run but I think it needs a promotion. You have inspired me to try it as a glaze on its own. BTW...I LOVE the birdie!
Thanks Audrey. My sculpting skills need some refining but a good first effort on a little bird I think. Yes pearl white is awesome. I love it on white clay as well.
Beautiful pieces again Lisa! Thanks for sharing. We share the love for Pearl White, although I do more sgraffito, when I don't do that, Pearl White is almost always in there.
Hi Lisa, thankyou for the shout out❤ a great kiln opening with some gorgeous glaze combos, love them all! The amaryllis bowl is my favourite, although I do love the fairy rose plate too, can't get fairy rose here in the UK❤
So happy to see Aubrey and you have kiln openings today!! Just fyi. I see no one else mentioned it but the picture at the beginning lasts for 3 minutes. Lol Something interesting I heard last week from a man who is incredibly knowledgeable about pottery and kilns etc is that the pinholes are from the clay not being bisque fired slowly enough. The temperature that off gassing during a bisque firing is between 1100 and 1500 F. So once you’ve gone past that it’s not going to off gas anymore. So when you fire the glazed pieces they will pinhole if you’re bisque wasn’t slow enough. It was very interesting to learn about this. Just a little fyi.
@@finklepottery704You’re so very welcome!! I don’t know if you are a ClayShare prime member but she had a man on there who explained all of this and it was so helpful.
@@finklepottery704I’m not done watching! You caught my comments half way through. Lol. I LOVE THE DECAL MUGS SOOO MUCH!! The seaweed is sooo runny for sure. Glazes that are this are supposed to be that way but sometimes it’s just too thin!! I will leave the lid off the glaze overnight, then stir it and do it again until it’s just a bit thicker. I can’t believe the pink bowl is just 2 glazes and only 2 of each!!!
Lisa! Hi from the forest! What a lovely opening... so many are soooo good! I just picked up some clay for the first time in 2 months, and it was great! i've been so inspired watching other kiln openings, especially yours. Still working towards filling up a bisque fire but i have lots of ideas for glazing and cant wait to be able to work on it a bit more. Fern is such a happy baby & im very content 🌿 Love your turquoise lake combo with the pink edging! Looks good every time 🩵🩷 Do you know if your Power Turquoise is the "new" or old formula? I heard they maybe changed it but yours looks just like mine.
Hi Amanda, looking forward to your future openings! Happy babies are a gift 😊 the power turquoise I have is the old one I think. I got that batch quite a while ago. Is the new one supposed to be problematic?
Oh my gosh I love this !!! I just bought pearl white and fairy rose and was wondering how that combo would look so this video got me all excited!! At 6:28 can you tell us how many coats of pearl white and fairy rose you used ? Did you fire to come 6 regularly without any holds ?
It turned out well I think ! The wine cup is dipped first in alabaster. Then two fairly thin coats of pearl white at the top. One good coat of fairy rose on top of the pearl white.
I haven’t tried it over texture yet. It seems to be semi translucent. I am thinking it would work well over most texture, maybe not really fine texture
What did you fire it to? Was it layered with anything? I find it very stable for me right up to cone 6 unless I layer it. If it wasn’t layered and was no hotter than a 6 I think thickness is probably your problem

Awe Tiffany you’ve been on my mind. I hope you are starting to feel a little better. Take good care!
Beautiful work! Love your videos. Thanks for taking the time to share.
My pleasure!

Love the mysterious chips.

With crystal glazes, I always pick up a bottle of the base glaze so that I can stretch the crystal glaze crystals further :)
That’s a great tip!

You’ve inspired me to buy Turquoise Lake. Does it break over texture?
I haven’t tried it over texture yet. It seems to be semi translucent. I am thinking it would work well over most texture, maybe not really fine texture
I love your tumblers, how much clay do you use to make them?
About 400g
I just got some Power Turquoise and dipped a piece. It ran horribly. Do you think that means it is too thick? Love your work Lisa!

@@finklepottery704 Thanks Lisa. It was fired to cone 6 with a slow cool. No layering. I'll try to thin it out a bit and see what happens.
