    I wish there was more Kim Eng content generally (books, audios etc). I love how compassionate and how attentive she is when she listens. I learned a lot from her about the pain body in Eckhart Tolle Now.

    She is right. Sometimes you just have to allow memories and emotions to come up in order to clear them. I process memories and emotions by writing. This clears alot away.

I usually put some meditation music on and just start typing. Be with it, observe it. Write about it. Draw or paint the story, the people, the actions, the emotions. If you don't see value in your picture or writing to keep it, then destroy it. Destroy the cause of pain and suffering, take out your frustration on the object. Stab it, tear it apart, burn it. This all helps you get closure and move past the past. Best wishes for your future. Be careful when you're destroying it that you don't hurt yourself or burn the place down by accident. So plan the destruction carefully and have precautions in place.

      Anyway instead of having a doctor prescribed a bunch of dangerous Mental Pharmaceutical Drugs for the patient or spend hours/yrs in therapy talking about their situation. (They should just fix or eliminate the problem. Don't hang around or work with the individuals that are causing the physical and mental stress. Any more than they have to.)
      Get a divorce,new friends,job and just concentrate on your own self improvement.
      The facts don't lie there's extreme exploration in the business world as well as one's own family life too. (Nothing wrong with forgiving and letting go but you should always be causes and member who/what did you wrong,and know who you can trust.

      @obscurum6 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The 'past' that you think gives you your life in the present is merely memory. Memory has been shown to be very unreliable. So the present is simply who you are now. The past can be let go of, as you forget most of it consciously anyway!!!!!! The selection of memory you think makes you who you are is a construction from parts of your memory strung into a narrative. Therefore, you can edit the bits out, ergo let go, of anything you want from your past at any time.

      @obscurum6 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@pushthetempo2
      As a qualified psychologist and therapist I can tell you that clinical depression can fluctuate and indeed it does fluctuate during the day. You are being facetious. Depression can vary greatly and many report it improves during the day for example. Many report that the morning is the worst time for them. Very severe depression, where someone doesn't move at all all day is extremely rare and those people are usually treated in a hospital environment. However, most people with depression still have to put a roof over their head etc. and are functional to a degree. They find coping mechanisms and it is not uncommon to see them switching into functional mode for family and friends, or for their career, only to slump into a worse depressive state when alone. It is the reason why many family and friends are shocked when that person commits suicide. Your attitude is completely lacking in compassion and empathy, you do not know that woman yet you ridicule her. Would you say that to her to her face in that room in front of Kim and everyone else? Or does your hiding behind a computer screen make you feel safer being a bully?
      Also, that woman is clearly trying to use Kim's method's to cope and improve her depression, so you are invalidating a human being trying to recover from depression! Is that what bothers you? The fact that she is trying and it triggers your feelings of failure in your own depression. That if you dismiss her efforts as "not real depression" you feel it validates your perception of your own failure to improve. In fact you wearing your depression as "proper depression"worse than others will hold you back from recovery. Have you spoken about those feelings to your therapist?
      There is some over diagnosis of depression nowadays, but your reaction to that woman was unacceptable and is not justified by the way you feel your depression is less valid because hers is different to yours.
      If you feel the need to label your depression as "real" and that you want to feel superior to others by using it to validate your lack of empathy you might want to speak to your therapist about your potential NPD.

      @@obscurum6 it was a joke I made on a whim. Not to be taken seriously. Can't people make jokes anymore without someone getting offended. Maybe the wrong place for it. Obviously if I knew this woman and she told me that, I would listen to her and not laugh. You know even less about me than I know about this woman, so can hardly diagnose me with narcissism. I'm well read in Roger's person centered therapy actually so I know a thing or two about empathy, as I'm sure you do if you really are a qualified therapist. I overcame depression with meditation and buddhist philosophy if you wanna know. See ya x

    • @obscurum6
      @obscurum6 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@pushthetempo2
      People with NPD use the "it was just a joke" in an attempt to justify bullying behaviour.
      Whether you like it not you making a joke about anyone having depression is unacceptable.
      You obviously weren't joking though as in your next comment to that you used the argument that you thought you were right in what you said about her because, in your words, depression "can't fluctuate". So don't try the backtracking excuse "it was just a joke" when you actually argued and tried to support your so called joke with further argument. And by the way, what you are doing now is called gaslighting. If this was a verbal conversation you would be denying you said it, but instead you are disingenuously pretending you were only joking when you clearly argued you meant what you said.
      You say you cured your depression. Did that happen overnight or gradually? Because obviously it should be gradual, so why did you ridicule that woman for her gradual improvement and why then did you argue that depression doesn't fluctuate? Anyone who had depression, as you say you have, would know that recovery has setbacks, so they simply wouldn't argue (or ridicule or bully) that depression doesn't fluctuate. It's simple, you are lying.
      And by your comment that you're "well read" on therapy you mean you've browsed Google for 'depression' and you've never actually been in therapy!
