There are some really amazing late model 6 cylinder engines out there 2jz,Barra etc,but nothing impressed me more than watching a very early Holden 6 cylinder achieving these figures.A massive round of applause to all those involved.
I can feel the griling coming already but I would rather listen to this old pushrod behemoth than any barra or 2j, even an rb. Makes me proud to say this is one of "our" cars
Incredible! When I was a kid there was an LJ in town that ran 13s on a super hot 202 / triple Webber setup and I thought that thing was awesome. Fast forward 30 years and here's one running 9s!
just fantastic , the grandchild of Harrops Howler :-) which I got to see again in the flesh when the FJ/FX club had a meet near my town. Hard to imagine the sort of detailed work that has gone into that package , a credit to all involved
The grip that this guy is getting is astounding, never seen a six banger Torrie lift the front wheels before. New engine after every race meet no doubt. Is it really a 202??? does not sound like it.
Hi guys that's very impressive. How do you build the engine to perform so like that. What cams, pistons and head etc... please share guys we have limited specs for these engines in South Africa. It will be nice to give the guys here a shock.
Very nice!! I'd like to see what a fully worked NA Barra could do! Yea, Ford man here. Maybe in a ol skool Cortina, something lightish, such as this Torry.
try getting that out of the old 250 the barra is few generations newer. Hey mister ford guy you might be aqble to go and watch the xw/xy finish its probably still racing Imagine if brocky had this little unit

Jarek Nowak it is impressive. These vehicles dominated Australian motor sport in the early 70s running triple Webber carburettors. I'd bet this one is running on efi.
@@jamesmcgee7723 afaik this one is running on injection, but earlier had carbs. Not many info about this car on the web. Im from Europe, i do not know a lot about Holden. I found it bc i was searching for intresting N/A engines :) Yes, its very impressive for such an old construction with 2 valves and "only" 3.3 liter displacement to run 9s. In Europe we only know Barra, and only from a few years back.
Jarek Nowak my mistake? This article www.pressreader.com/australia/street-machine/20161101/281668254461629 suggests that it is running triple SU carburettors rather than efi! This is the old set up for this engine.

And when you thought you've heard a tuff Holden 6 before. Then there's NA 202 💪🏼💪🏼

@Steve Salkas it's actually a red motor
Been a few over the years get big HP out of them na

I'm thinking a Liberty or a G-force
Liberty 5 speed

That moment when your blown V8 gets a gap put on it by an all motor 202
$2k 202?
