My dad didn’t die bc of a shooting he died bc of cancer 4 months before my graduation i had no family at graduation I know how u feel may he Rest In Peace

Sorry about the loss of ur father. My mom wasn't able to come to my graduation either. She had just had her surgery and been diagnosed with cancer and a year later she passed away on mother's day of bartholin cancer. I felt so alone on those two days I didn't have a mom around like everyone else did. Making it even harder was
my dad also passed away 2 years later of three strokes but I think he really died of a broken heart he missed her desperately! Its been a very lonely couple of years without them. I miss them alot. They haven't been around for some of the hardest times in my life. I was diagnosed with cancer myself 5 years ago and having to go through so much alone took a huge toll on me.

@@USBionicMarine children do not always have the tools or ability to escape or change their situations...adults on the other hand, especially able body adults, have options.
@@USBionicMarine murder/suicide is not the only option. Adults with coping skills know this and those that don't have coping skills, they are available through, counseling, books, EAP programs etc. So it's a sad situation all the way around.
Condolences to the people of that town who are hurting and I hope they get some answers after investigators are done!

He was assigned to 81 Engine, also we lost guys from 81 Engine at the WTC and our 81 Engine is located in The Bronx in Kingsbridge on Bailey Avenue near Van Cortland Park, The Pride of Kingsbridge will always never forget that fellow brother from LA County, from all of us in the FDNY we wish LA County our condolences for our fallen brother and we will always remember him in our hearts, god bless everyone

I remember watching that fire unfold live and that a FF was killed. My deepest sympathy to her and the family. Congratulations to her on graduating. This is the truest form of a family and brotherhood being there. RIP FF Tory Carlon.

One possible type of detail could have been a battle of vacation scheduling. The vacation book is passed around in battalions and it moves in order of seniority The Engineers have their book. Seems Tory was higher on that platform than John. Lets say John likes to quail hunt in South Dakota in October. If Tory were to take those 4 weeks for his vacation, that means John needs to find another Engineer to work for him. Station #81 is in the middle of nowhere. Think you can find a Malibu or Palos Verdes Engineer to drive 65 miles out of their way to cover for you. Little chance. So that means your quail hunting trip to see your dad and brothers and friends is not possible.
You know as a rookie or 2nd yr guy, you get the vacation book last. As a 20 year guy you expect to get the weeks you want. But not always. And if you are having issues with a guy in your same job category, with 1 or more year of seniority over you, they could mess-up your yearly vacation plans.
Not suggesting this is the reality but the vacation schedule is a big issue with FF's and normally guys show others some courtesy if they know person is planning a family reunion or vacation to some place, they will leave that space alone for them. But if you want to mess with someone, the vacation book is the way to do it and nobody can object.
