    There is a better way of judging the full load operation of the unit. What you need to do is to turn on Dip switch #5 at the ODU, go to "Fdd" mode using the arrow/confirm buttons, and go to "Fd8" for full cooling(or Fd9 for full heating), and then push the confirm button. After a few minutes after it initializes, it should display 6000(countdown from 60 minutes). Also, LG has specific functions in the ODU to measure the charge to let you know how much to add/remove(Fd1-4).

      Thanks for that mate, great info to know! I had a flick through the service manual the day after and found the section that explains what all the functions do and how to get there haha great timing on my behalf 😂 I’ll know for next time.

    Nice! What do you do refer to work on in terms of ease of work between Mitsubishi, Daikin or LG?

      They all have their pros and cons. In terms of general work and getting information from the displays on the outdoor, I prefer Daikin. Their 7 segment display is very easy to use. For display and usability on the service tool, Mitsubishi for sure. The layout and information it gives you is the best for me by far. This was my first time working on an LG and it seemed nice. Once I had my heard around what I needed to do it was pretty easy. Shame about the poor access to the service valves. Can’t win them all 😂

      Using the push buttons located on the control PCB use the arrow buttons to find “Fdd” then click the circle button to enter that mode. Use the arrow to find either “Fd8” for cooling or “Fd9” for heating. Make sure to hold the button down for 1 seconds d before releasing.

    The thing you did with the nitrogen when pulling the vac what does that actually do and help with.

      The idea is to dislodge any tapped moisture in the system by raising the pressure/temperature. I usually do it when my micro reading stalls out.

    Hi mate, I got a site that the brunch box low,high and liquid pipe all crap reduce pipe size do this reduces the cooling capacity? I think some cowboy doing this. Thanks mate

    • @hvacraustralia
      @hvacraustralia  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey mate. Yeah, absolutely. Due to less volume being present there will be less refrigerant at the indoors, resulting in less capacity.

      @@hvacraustralia thanks what would you do if in this situation? Check gas pressure and add some more gas to increase the cooling ?

    • @hvacraustralia
      @hvacraustralia  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Adding more refrigerant won’t solve the problem. That’s a tough one, is it a recent install? If so the installer would need to come back and install the correct pipe sizes. If it’s older, could always suggest installing the new pipe sizes.

      @@hvacraustralia is a school it been install around 2 year I think school only have 1 year warranty, that a tough one and I don't do LG much, so properly need to reconnect to right pipe size and recover all gas out and check if any leak. If I add some gas it won't do any cooling right? Thanka

    Seeing you're a refrigeration technician, do you work on exhaust or ventilation systems? I know this has nothing to do with this video.

    • @hvacraustralia
      @hvacraustralia  ปีที่แล้ว

      We do look after the exhaust fans, fresh air fans etc on most of our sites. They’re usually just a single or three phase direct drive motor so nothing fancy.
