Hi, great tutorial, I use Night Cafe, Bing, leonardo but I may pay for Lexica, reason being they have colouring images with prompts attached you can use to regenerate or adapt & I think it's better at creating vectors, which could save a lot of time cleaning up the backgrounds. I learnt some new tips from your video, thanks.

I have no one to help and please I will be thankful if I could succeed in uploading a book in kdp of my own and will be more happy if earned some money.. I failed being an Amazon affiliate as i couldnot get followers in my social media sites and that was the only easy way to make money..but as I had no followers and as i didn't follow 1 particular niche, I could not succeed in sales as an affliator.. So I came to kdp ,and hoping I could do something in this book publishing atleast.

Thank you and yes you can absolutely use Canva resources but you gotta make sure that you alter them in some way and don't just copy and paste, And Canva has many resources with its magic tools etcetera,.. I hope that helps and thanks again!

I deleted the old and replaced them completely with the new images instead of layering them. In this case you could probably get away with layering them, I just did this in case of file size issues.

Yes the images need to either be vectorized or upscaled depending on whether they are the black and white or colored images. And as for canvas upscale AI, I'm honestly unsure as I haven't used it yet. Thanks for the question. The only exception would be on Canvas paid program you can possibly export the black and white images with the best for printing option.

@@udofiamary5928 using their graphics in Canva as is, is not allowed for kdp. You need to modify them somehow by deleting, changing or putting few together in your composition. This way it is kind of unique.
Well that is a big bummer,.. I know Canva allows SVGs to be downloaded so it must be the size of the image. The only thing I can think of would be to resize your images through Photoea. Let me know if you need any assistance on how to reduce the size of your image and also please let me know how you manage to get around this so we can help anybody else that might run into this issue.
can you upscale and vectorize in Canva? They have APPS for it. Also, can you only upscale and then print to PDF for print? (this has worked in the past)
Yes I'm sure you could find the apps within Canva to vectorize and upscale,.. Basically the same thing most of the time you have to have anaccount with whatever software you're using in Canva regardless. And yes you need to have the upscaling done and the final product before you can upload to Amazon needs to be in a PDF format.

I tried doing this using MidJouney and I found that the styles of the different images were not always the same. Doesn't the coloring book need to have the same style of graphics? How do you get the style to be very similar from one animal to another?
Some people set with bleed setting for coloring book, and let 0.375 margin in the 4 directions...i see you don't use it. Is bleed not necessary in coloring books?

Yeah I'm actually I'm sure as to why they would block these uploads for you, i've had no issues,.. I always just report the AI used and how extensively upon uploading and I've never had a problem.

Well a lot actually depends on your skill level when it comes to prompting these artificial intelligence. My personal opinion is that Chat GPT 4 is the easiest to manipulate because of the way you can talk back and forth in simple terms to accomplish your goals, whereas Midjourny for instance you need to have some prompt background knowledge to get satisfactory images. So yeah I guess it depends me personally I use Chat GPT 4 almost exclusively. I do find myself going to Claude 3 because of the large amount of text able to be input and output. Canva is not recognizing the vectorized images. it's saying it is "incompatible with Canva or has been corrupted". They have to be under 3MB

@KidsPlanet-o5t Amazon has their own standards. If you want different paper, probably you have to print yourself.

Is bleed not necessary in coloring books?
The bleed is Accounted for in the beginning of the video at 40 seconds. Yes you do need to include the bleed.

what is your image size that you download from Chat gpt ? mine is 1024x1024 is this enough?
i used leonardo and other free tools to generate images for coloring book or story books and after that i uploaded on KDP but they blocked every time, I don't know thw reason plz can you guide me ?
Yeah I'm actually I'm sure as to why they would block these uploads for you, i've had no issues,.. I always just report the AI used and how extensively upon uploading and I've never had a problem.
Every book I try to publish it tells me I need to format my pages to a bigger size.

@@AImoney11 I made my pages the exact width and height an d after review it says to reformat my pages 0.125 width and 0.215 height, should I just reformat that size in Canva and reupload the interior to see what they say?

I do have a question about publishing tho.... so....lets say I have a cover..check... a belongs to page...check and a copy right page... check... now what side should my illustrations be on? Right side? Since the blank page would come behind it? Tryna make sure I do this the right way.

i get everything except the fact that why did you have to upscale the image. doesnt the pdf take care of it??
Canvas export setting will help with the black and white drawings but when it comes to the cover images they definitely need to be upscaled.

I suppose in this case since the images do not extend past the margins and the page color is pure white you could go with no bleed at 8.5 by 8.5.

The link should lead you to canvas page offering one month free trial of Canva Pro,.. They probably have restrictions on multiple free trials, if you've already had a free trial with Canva this could be the issue

Well a lot actually depends on your skill level when it comes to prompting these artificial intelligence. My personal opinion is that Chat GPT 4 is the easiest to manipulate because of the way you can talk back and forth in simple terms to accomplish your goals, whereas Midjourny for instance you need to have some prompt background knowledge to get satisfactory images. So yeah I guess it depends me personally I use Chat GPT 4 almost exclusively. I do find myself going to Claude 3 because of the large amount of text able to be input and output.
