Fast flow stitching is my favourite style of stitching!!! I’m a huge fan of the messy, organic, carefree nature of it!!! Having said that, I’ve. Ever tried it with the proper sewing machine foot lol. I’ve been looking at getting one for the longest time. It’s been sitting in my cart but it has never made it to the top of my Wishlist. Watching your video has just catapulted it to the very top hahaha. I absolutely love all of the covers you’ve created. Not ‘pants’ at all!!! Thank you so much for sharing Tracie!!! I look forward to watching the other videos in this collaboration!!! Big hugs, Sharon 🌷💕

Thank you so much Tracie, I really really enjoyed watching you create these various toppers for your journal 📔 cover, by far the green one ☝️ with the cheesecloth on the front is my ultimate favourite. I think 🤔 the cheesecloth gives it a better look, because it’s easier to rip apart to reveal the colours underneath. I also think 🤔 you are so very very brave doing this gorgeous and stunning piece in front of us all. You are so very very talented and clever too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags

Tracie…these are beautiful! They remind me of he type of very old stitching that was even used on Tudor costumes…I forget what it’s called but they would use colourful fabrics on the under layers and then cut through the upper fabrics to reveal touches of them…very elaborate and amazing….you really have made a very beautiful effort here and tbh I have had a look at the other videos and for me yours are the best! Completely my taste…messy, colourful, completely random and original…thank you for inspiring me…I’ve got to give this a try and appreciate you prompting me to do so…I know I’m going to enjoy it.x

I don't know...I thought they all looked good, Tracie! I'm a sub teacher today, but normally go under the name CrafTea Neighbor.
I don't think there is anything truly perfect in the this current artistic crafting world; the work flows out of the individual in her various stages of learning and growth. The various works demonstrating who that person is at the various stages of artistic development. I went to a Grant Wood exhibition in Iowa last year. He is the artist who painted the American Gothic with the farmer and his wife. It really was enlightening in that it showed the various stages of his work, including as a teenager. It was truly inspiring to see the directions he took with his artwork throughout his entire life. As it is always inspiring to see you and the others on the list trying this challenge, as well as all your works, and where it might take you as you continue on. This time period is known as the Craft Renaissance Revival period. And later on, when we are all gone, the beginnings will be as inspirational and important as the endings. The fact that you do it at all is amazing.
Thank you for sharing! Sue ♥

You are so funny. Mine is pants! I loved yours. I also found it Interesting that you were intimidated by the other participants. You are so incredibly talented and innovative. I saw that you inspired Louise to make something using your techniques. I really enjoyed your process. I’m glad you leave the mistakes in to show people that you really do fly by the seat of your pants. I’m glad you stuck it out even if it didn’t work out how you planned. The end result was beautiful. It’s good for people to see that even really experienced crafters take detours and end up far from where they started. You made it into something really cool in the end!
