This song takes me back 25 years. I am a really introverted shy guy. And I have zero game. Anyway my wife (in my eyes) is a ten. Me on my best day a 6. Our group from work went out every thursday night. I couldnt look her way let alone talk to her. So she sat next to me one thursday and asked why I never talked to her. So I told her the next song that came on the jukebox was everything I have ever wanted to say to her. Then held my breath as the song came on. Half way through we shared our first kiss. I cant remember the next ten minutes. But it worked and we are still strong after all these years. Love you two. You guys remind me of us.

Exile knocks it out of the park with this tune....That throbbing underbeat is the hook...then the vocals are low...sexy and yearning. You don't have to be vulgar or explicit...just sincere and genuine. The band is competent and very talented...the entire package is danceable and great for some afternoon delight!! Exile...ROCKS!!!

The Continental Inn that was torn down some time ago was the staging ground where Ike & Tina Turner and Rare Earth as well as many many others cut their teeth before hitting it big within the music industry.

My mom died tragically when I was in my freshman year of college. My girlfriend had moved hundreds of miles away…she was close to my mom. She took a bus to come be with me. As my dad was taking care of funeral arrangements, my gf and I sat in the back seat of his car, holding each other and crying. This song came on the radio at that moment, and is firmly etched in my mind with that moment in my life - I can’t hear it without being taken back to that moment when we held each other for hours, “as the night close(d) in”.

In 1978, Exile consisted of Stokley, Pennington, and Cornelison, plus second keyboardist Marlon Hargis, bassist Sonny LeMaire, and drummer Steve Goetzman. This lineup signed with Warner Brothers and released the album Mixed Emotions. The disco-influenced single "Kiss You All Over", 🔥🔥🔥written by the album's producer Mike Chapman and his songwriting partner Nicky Chinn, topped the American singles chart for four weeks and also reached the top ten in a dozen European countries. funny, thing about exile, is that they later became a country band, I remember when this song came out, it was a big hit at the local public pool, the lifeguards were responsible for selecting the music that played, and they played some songs back then that I still enjoy listening to all these many years later

They put out a "Best Of Exile" album out in 1986, but if you're into vinyl, the song was on their first album "Mixed Emotions" from 1978. The song was so huge, it sold millions, so you should be able to find a good copy really cheap at a local used record store or charity shop's bin.

Exile got their start in Richmond, KY. I remember them performing at the lounge of Eastland Bowling Lanes in my hometown of Lexington. I was there bowling but you could hear them even on the lanes. They did a great cover of Jesus is Just All Right (a hit for the Doobie Brothers). It was quite fun later on to watch a local band climb the charts like they did. At that time I was working with a girl who knew one of the members and she got my album cover signed by the entire band.

Exile were based out of the Lexington, KY area in the late 60s and 70s. I lived near Lake Cumberland 90 miles to the south. We would travel sometimes 200 miles to see them even back then. Later on, after subsequent singles never matched the success of this one ( song of the year) , they began to see songs of theirs covered by country artists go to the top of the charts. And this was when country was beginning to become HUGE, so naturally they turned to country and had many number ones and at least 20 charting songs, and many more covers by other artists. Oh, and did I mention that not only did they play at our prom in the late 60s, but 20 years later the new incarnation signed my guitar. :)

The first woman I knew in the biblical sense took me to Heaven with this song. We worked together and she would walk by me at times and whisper to me, I want to kiss you all over, and walk away. Later on she made good her words with actions. I was overwhelmed. She was older than me and turned me backwards, forward, sideways, down, and every which way she could think of. I was spellbound and just catching up to her, when she broke my heart in 17 places. It took a long time to recover from that one. Tracey Ullman wrote a song with that title a few years later. Never forgot the woman or this song though.
