To me this game looks interesting but so did skull and bones and I was one of the idiots that bought the 130 version so I'm on the fence about getting it
If you're on the fence I recommend waiting until a few days after release then asking some friends or watching reviews once people have had time to play. I'll be playing it and giving some thoughts as well (though IDK how quickly after release I'll have a video).
Ehh, scripted loss fights are far, FAR too common these days and should be used very sparingly and have some really good writing/world-building to justify them, but that almost never actually happens.

It looks super stiff and janky. I cant imagine looking at this one.
It definitely looks worse than it feels to play in terms of the combat. But there is a fair bit of jank in there.

I'm not a huge fan of scripted losses either tbh. I'd much prefer a "this enemy is way too tough but you CAN win if you're good enough".
