I just published with IS, and I’m still traumatized. Their site freezes, doesn’t allow you to make changes, isn’t user friendly, and I fear that there are too many phishing and gaps in security. There is no ability to contact customer service except their email, and you’re in a line to receive a response. They seldom directly answer your questions, and your questions must be “escalated” to receive an answer to a simple question. Honestly, I question the amount I’ve spent given what little I’ve received. Next book will be with a different platform.

Unfortunately, in 2 separate cases, they have rejected for distribution a title that was part of a SERIES when they were all made the same and the rest of the books in the series were accepted. (The hate.) One of these rejected titles is an Amazon Top 100, so it is very frustrating to see so much potential lost with IS. Nonetheless, with my rising sales and the points made here, I may add more titles.

Hi Emily! Thanks for commenting! As far as I know you need to use a software like Abacus to do that with Ingram Spark. Hopefully Jeanice is going to check our comments and she can give you further information but that was the answer last time I asked. The IS royalty reports import easily into the software to make the calculations. publishdrive.com/abacus.html but maybe they have a better way now.
Apparently either i got a free coupon or ingram lets anyone do one book free? Thing is amazon ISBNs won't work on ingram. and ingram doesn't give out free isbns. isbns normally cost around 100 usd. I do have some books i wrote with trads which i could publish on ingram. but idk if there is a better (as in cheaper) isbn solution?
Ingram does have coupon codes for free uploads that you can find on the internet. I thought I saw something that you could get a cheaper ISBN through Ingram but I don't know where that was. I always get mine from Bowker in packs of 10 because it's not very expensive per ISBN to do that.

ingram unlike amazon can get you into libraries and bookstores. it' a weird market bifurcation but its not anticompetitive its not like ingram and amazon sat down and split the market (that would be illegal) just they competed each other into niches.
Libraries will buy your book from Amazon. Bookstores will not buy your book from Amazon though ... but that is simply because Amazon doesn't give them enough profit margin with the books to do so (because they want to sell all the books themselves I guess). They can be used to do some of the same things though ... but they definitely carved out some niche space!
Libraries have groups called friends of the library so they can buy books from outside sources. Ingram Sparks does not get your book in to book stores. They only get you on a list of available books. No real shelf space.
Thank you for the video. I have published an ebook with Amazon KDP. I never supplied an ISBN for that since KDP stated that their ebooks do not require ISBNS. Can I publish the same ebook on IngramSpark and supply my own ISBN for that? Could it cause any confusion?

Ingram Spark is only available in countries that have clickwrap agreements as acceptable and enforceable contracts. Many countries require a handwritten signature too ... and if that is Nigeria then you have to use Lightning Source because there is signed paperwork available with them but not with Ingram Spark. Jeanice monitors and replies to all social media questions and comments so if you connect with Ingram at any of the places mentioned in this video you will likely get an answer.

Sounds great! We've been pretty happy with them ... a lot fewer issues arise with them than with KDP for us.

I tried IngramSpark but could not get my manuscript submission accepted. It kept rejecting it on the final step.
Did you ever find out why? We have more issues with KDP than Ingram with review process and rejection.
