Teenage Soldiers and Homemade Grenades: Ghosts of Aleppo (Part 2)

  • The Syrian city of Aleppo, under constant bombardment by air and threatened by both Syrian regime forces and Islamic State militants on the ground, is now one of the most dangerous places in the world. In addition to fighting the enemies at the gates, Aleppo’s rebels have to contend with adversaries within the city, including armed gangs of criminals and pro-Islamic State infiltrators.
While the US government is now ramping up military aid to the ostensibly secular Free Syrian Army, Aleppo's Islamic Front rebels are holding their ground with homemade munitions. Considered too Islamist for support from the West, and too moderate for jihadist fundraisers, the Islamic Front is preparing for the final battle. VICE News followed Islamic Front fighters defending the rebel-held half of the city against overwhelming odds from both the might of the Syrian regime and the resurgent Islamic State.

Nate T not covering SAA side of the story maybe. Hopefully they will. From the looks of it they have just interviewed the side that opposes them, and they are biased calling Assad evil etc., that's why it looks like VICE is biased. I bet Assad forces will have their explanation too and call the rebels terrorists and shit, and have perfect grounds for that, as Roussos said, they are killing civillians on the other side too, they just don't have enough ammunition to grade up to Assad. The only difference really. Both are fucking idiots, both have reasons to fight and view the other side as enemy. No 'evils' here.

All that is left that no one is caring still and Putin and Bashar continuing to kill off the last resistance aswell. Comparing that this video got half a million views after 8 years of it being published and virtually every news article or video having ukraine in its title, gets atleast a million views, is just crazy like people think the integrity of europe is more threatened by a war in Ukraine then Syria

      Syrian rebels fighting Syrian government.
Started out as protests, evolved into an uprising and then into a civil war. It's basically a war of attrition right now. It's been going on for about three years, the people fighting are the Govt + plus Hezbollah, Rebels(moderates and extremists), and the Kurds in Iraq and Syria.
