Awesome vid hybrid! However I will say, hpi does definitely still participate in 10th scale nitro onroad, I just bought a ton of parts for my rs4 3 and 2. And they do still make body’s and wheels and tires and parts and all of that
The parts are pretty hard to come by at least here in the north east. I haven’t been to brownies hobbies in a while (Staten Island, NY), but recently went to a store closer to me in NJ looking for replacement spur gears, HPI high temp grease, brake disc, and possibly replacement parts for my 18ss engine (RS4 3 Type SS car) and they didn’t have much of anything for HPI and they’re one of the few HPI authorized dealers here in NJ/PA. Gonna be ordering my stuff on eBay to fix my car.

i had an FW-06 with a Benz Touring body when i was a teenager. honestly, other than a different body and a black cooling block, i am surprised how little has changed since i bought mine in 2011.

I have an FW-05T with the same 2 speed transmission and i have a question: If you tighten the cap screw, will the 2nd gear change in lower or higher RPM?

How is this compare to hsp flying fish you tested earlier? I knew the kyosho chassis is better but how about the engine?
A locked front differential seems crazy. I bet it is prone to breaking with all that nitro power. I prefer an open diff.

Hey man, I’m happy to know you have a proper Sickning rovan on the way, that’s a tough choice to 45 or the 30. To be honest with you I started out with a 30 cc model and it never let me down.

hey dude! Very good observation, you're correct. I noticed that right after this recoding too. I think there was a minor assembly error with the fuel tank, because it was mounted in the incorrect location (we fixed t after). Luckily no leaks and its fine now.

hey dude! Let me answer you, YES! you most definitely can use any starter box. There is good room for the starter box though the chassis and you should have no issues with that.

That’s wasn’t his first burnout. If I had to guess I’d say most of those marks were his. Whose nice Hobao Hyper SS Truggy did we see in the last few seconds of the video? What’s the relevance?
hey dude! The guy told me it was his first, but I really doubt it also! He needs a nitro to do some proper NITROGANG burnouts!! That would count. Yup there will soon be a Hyper SS Truggy video premier, thats why.

How you set up the transmission?
Three turns out from fully turned in I believe... You need to check the manual... It may be 3 1/2 turns out
If its anything like the HPI one, there's 2 screws. One you tighten fully so the 2 gears grip onto the shaft, and the other determines when it shifts. Tighten both all the way in then loosen the shifting one out 3 full turns.
I tried to that already but nothing happened
I have put it apart 7 times trying to figure out
But I will try that again

@@rclatino3442 One other thing to check is that the part with those 2 screws in it is fitted the correct way round. I know on mine it's easy to put it in backwards if you're not careful, then the little arm on it that flicks up to engage the 2nd gear has nothing to catch on.

hey man! The Owner who built this kit is featured in this video as you saw, he said it was not bad. I have a brand new one of my own also btw. He said a couple ours a day for 3-4 days, so very reasonable.

Am I the only one that thinks it shifts to quick? Sounds like it needs a little more RPM IN FIRST GEAR before it shifts. But I could be wrong
Yeah, in the manual it tells you to make it shift at about 80% , instead of 100% .. which is why is shifts a little early, or seems to shift a little early. That will keep you from killing your engine.
