Hello friends, today I will show you how to make Lathe Machine Using Washing Machine Motor. I will use wooden boards pre-sized and cut. I will disassemble an old broken angle grinder and use the rotor and the mechanism, for driving I will use a brush electric motor from a washing machine (universal electric motor) to which I will attach a chuck from a drill. 'Have too admit that you pulled off a reasonably nice, little, lathe there for yourself: even though it, almost, didn't come together quite as you expected. But most unplanned, if not decided projects, often have their unexpected mishaps along the way to completion. With some more often than others to cause long term headaches. Regardless, you did put the long one's in, and although I might not copy your project -- you did give me food for thought. Keep up the good work.

i wouldnt use a particle board as backplate, still really ingenuous adapter.
in fact i would never use particle board for anything except as sacrificial board.
chuck needs a through hole, so you have to redesign everything to get the motor to spin a tube/pipe connected to the chuck, [assembly which goes through headstock]
Nice project. Just don't now why you added the grinder, couldn't you just run the lathe headstock directly from the WM motor? or does the grinder supply extra gearing for faster rotation?
My best guess is to protect the motor itself. Unbalanced loads could mess with the motor, so this way he isn’t putting it at risk

Od 21:30 Widać jak rusza się płyta która jest konikiem "tokarki". Płyta wiórowa to kiepski materiał konstrukcyjny dla takich maszyn. Kiedyś pęknie i dostaniesz tym wałkiem w głowę. Sam pomysł jest fajny, ale wykonanie nie jest bezpieczne, uważam, że do takiego projektu bardziej odpowiednie byłyby metalowe profile i łączenie ich spawaniem/śrubami.

o projeto é interessante, porem não entendi do porque usar o cabeçote da lixadeira. poderia adaptar o mandril direto no motor. Ou até mesmo usar um eixo com rolamento e correia, visto que o motor original ja tinha adaptaçãopara isto.
E por gauza do redutor da lixadeira

Задумка хорошая , жалко изуродованную болгарку, патрон желательно 4х кулачковый, и на задней пиноли не мешало бы поставить еще один болт ,для соблюдения соосности!! Короче не сужу ,что бы не быть судимым, но все это бы назвал- (колхоз на коленках)...Лайк поставлю за потраченное время!!!

Probably rescued a non functioning grinder from the waste.

A beveled edge chisel is not a turning chisel.
The chisel should be upside down so to say to cut against the direction of rotation. As for the gloves . No gloves should be worn when using machinery or loose clothing. A face plate could of been mounted directly to the washing machine motor cutting out all that complicated fabrication. Hey ho.

base plate and the end support need to be sturdy and accurate this is the fundamental of any lathe machine...with ur model even the chuck seems to move radially....with so much effort is it worth?

In fact, put all the controls at the front. Use that wide open space at the back for something else.
