George is one of the greatest singers ever. Also a compassionate person was found out after his passing how much he donated to the homeless and hospitals.
This was Elton's first performance after getting sober. That is why he let George do the heavy lifting here. He was worried about how he would do and what the crowd reaction would be, but as you can see they loved him. Nobody better than George Michael, miss him so much. Every single time that Elton sang this song after George's death he had a picture of George on the big screens. They are both legends.
You should have a look at George's MTV unplugged session from 1996...absolutely amazing. I don't know of any other artist who sounded even better live than on their studio stuff 💜 Also George's performance at the Concert of hope from 1993 💜

The first appearance of Elton John since he was released from Rehab. Elton had a great career but he went down hill fast, George had the respect from him to bring him out on stage with a song that was a huge hit for Elton. This brought Elton back into the mainstream where he so rightly belonged!!!

Now, you are talking about ICON. If you really like soul, r&b, jazz, pop, & even a little swing, then you need to check out George's musical career of 30+ years. You won't believe your ears or your heart! George wrote, sang, arranged, recorded, produced, musician,& created all of his work. There's so much to learn of & from George Michael. You have no idea. He's touched so many of the hearts of his fans. He gave meaning to many of us. I don't want to go on & n, It's best If you learn from the man himself! Elton was invited to perform unannounced at George Michaels concert. This was a big deal, because Elton had just gotten out of drug rehab and was newly clean. He's been sober for almost 35 years now.
